Well in that case, I will make tomorrow's extra hard just so you don't leave me stuck doing Thursday's too!

Would have preferred Professional instead of expert but that was not my issue.
It was the word "Cure". I did fathom to use the word as is. If you had used treatment then may be (just may be) would be nearer to solution.

Thanks for the feedback.
I haven't quite worked out how I feel about mixing plain text with encrypted yet (as in this instance). I agree it can be misleading, so it might be something for me to try and avoid in the future.

There is no rule that you should not use plain text. Its that, at least for me , the brain is conditioned in such a way that whenever I encounter CC, I tend to look for alternate word instead of pausing for a moment to consider the option of plain text.

My Windows 10 installation has suddenly started showing commercial links on the lock screen/login page!!!
Does anybody know how to get rid of that cr*p?

I'm running Win10 Home but other than that it's the same as yours: 1803 Build 17134.523
And if I use WIN+L to lock the screen I just get a "pretty picture" - I get no ads.
Have you changed anything recently?

Not that I know of. I get the pretty pictures as well, but some times (not all the time) there are 2-3 links on top of the pretty picture to what appears to be commercial and/or gaming sites.
Started December 21st for me...

Are the "pretty pictures" the Windows Spotlight ones?
I always encountered links on top of those pictures, and sometimes they point to commercial links, related to the current picture itself (like "Forza" game).
Do you encounter totally unrelated links?
BTW, All the files related to Windows spotlight should be located into %LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy sub-directories and you should be able to check and disable their usage from the "lock screen" settings.

Yup, Windows Spotlight. It's a little different where the links point. One time it was to something in Windows Store, another time it was to some gaming site, etc.
But I found a registry solution so that I could keep Windows Spotlight, but not get the ads. There is a link in another post in this thread...

It is like at work for me...
GIT is not allowed due to security concerns, but we are moving to Office 365 and let our whole Email Traffic in hands of Microsoft, this way Enterprise Vault won't need that much Server space / capacity... [BIG FACEPALM]

Oh no! Which version are you running? I haven't seen this behavior yet and hope I never do.

Thanks, I'm interested and I'll check mine when I get home. We are on an older Enterprise 1709 version at work.
As I looked at the version you posted and then looked up win10 versions (Windows 10 version history - Wikipedia[^]) I was struck by the fact that it was so much easier in the past to determine/differentiate which version of windows I had installed. Windows XP SP3, etc.
Now, I've seen these new versions 100 times and I still don't remember anything about which version is installed on my pc at home. It's really stupid.

I recently migrated all the machines at home to Linux because I refuse to use Win10.

I tried linux years ago just to save money from buying a Win 7 license. Worst decision. I should have paid the $100 for Windows.

I did it for different reasons. Money wasn't the root issue, but it is admittedly a secondary or tertiary factor.
When Win7 goes tits-up next year, my only alternative is to go Win10 or Linux. I refuse to infect my machine with Win10, so Linux got the nod. It hasn't been all roses, but for thwe most part, I have no issues. I still run a Win7 VM for as long as Visual Studio will run on it. Downside - I can't run any SQL server newer than 2014 because 20116 and up will not run on Win7. However, there's a version of SQL server for Linux, so it's all good.

For email and web home users, it is.
For basic office users, it is.
For specialist office work, CAD CAM, what we do with VS, it isnt.
