I really like Android development too. It has been quite good since they moved to Android Studio (away from Eclipse).
The new Haxm x86 emulators are so fast I can't even believe it.
If you like C#, you probably like the Java/Android dev experience.
But now they seem to be gravitating toward Kotlin (very Swift-like).

Hello, Raddevus. And yes, Android Studio is an ultimate environment for Android apps development, combining Java, Kotlin and C++. I don't like Xamarin and C# for Android, so I use this particular IDE.
