I got into the elevator this morning with half a dozen young soldiers, myself entering last.
They were all leaning against the sides of the elevator, having playful arguments about not giving enough "leaning room" to someone else.
I said, "Ya know, my father always told me that leaning is for the crippled and the lazy."
One responded, "What are you trying to say?"
I came back with, "None of y'all appear to be crippled."
As I said it, I made eye contact with each one. To a man, they all stopped leaning and stood up straight.
I enjoy having a positive impact on today's youth.

No, that is for grandpa to say to the 6 year old. Your only job at 6 year's old is to laugh at old people farting.

Actually, I'll bet he instigated the problem intentionally, so that he could finally put into practice his 2nd Amendment rights and protect himself from a tyrannical government.

Military installations are gun-free zones. How's that for irony?

I didn't say it was a trend. I merely cited an incident that rebuts your generalized statement.

Not ever, cupcake. At least, not in this country.

I've never once said I'm a fan of guns. I am an advocate for liberty, and without the means to defend your liberties, you have none. It's a historically-proven fact.

I absolutely do not. We have gun laws and a background check system. How is it the fault of every gun owner in the U.S. that the background check system is not being used, or that existing gun laws are not being enforced?
Remember that guy that shot up the church in Texas not too long ago? He was able to purchase his guns because the Air Force did not submit his name (he was deemed a danger to himself and others by USAF doctors) to the background check system as a prohibited person.
How about that kit that shot up the school in Florida? He had 39 visits from local law enforcement, as well as being on the FBI's radar TWICE, and nothing was done. He was also under psychiatric care at some point, yet his name is NOWHERE in the prohibited persons list.
Eddy Vluggen wrote: Yes, Muricans are the only "free" people in existence today.
Actually, we're living under the illusion of being free. That's been the case since the 2nd president was "elected".

Call it semi what you want, when a simple piece of wood makes it automatic, it is an automatic gun. It is not semi-automatic semantically simply due to a missing component.

How would that go when they report back to their chief? "Yes, we went out 35 times before, but the lady there serves great coffee, so we're going back"?

I seriously do not mind YOU having a gun; on the contrary, it adds to the coolness, especially with the quotes in the signature. I DO seriously mind giving any regular Joe a gun. There's too much people that get injured by regular fireworks to be trusting any of them with something else than a cracker.
