I'm not sure if I should take that as a complement or an insult!
So ... do I have to fetch the epees and slap your face with my glove? (Warning: it's pretty solid and has kevlar knuckles)

I didn't get the question. Must be some cultural thing. But you can take it as a compliment.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that! Was I badly injured? Did the other guy have a knife?
Where am I? If I'm in hospital, I'd probably like to go and visit me ...

I don't know the details, but have observed that Griff's posts are all about violence lately, so things look grim from the sheep's perspective

I'm not sure what's the more frightening stat:
- There have been almost 3 million downloads[^] of the "is-odd" npm package over the last seven days
- That there is an "is-odd" package
- That there are currently five versions of that package
- That it has a dependency - on the "is-number" package (OK, maybe that one has a small reason for existence)

Are any of the versions correct?

Well, fail on Roman numerals and certainly overly fancy IMO (OK, maybe just overly dependent on JavaScript idioms). Business end:
return !!(~~i & 1);
Also fails on currency, and with comma as a thousands separator.
I definitely want to build my next mission critical app by downloading random functions that someone might nuke at a moment's pique.

I would think it would only be applicable to whole numbers. Therefore, currency wouldn’t be applicable.

Without knowing anything more about that, I will assume it's a JavaScript library, right?!

What I have learned over the years, if its slightly cryptic its either Perl or Javascript...
Edit, forgot to include if there are a large number of buzzwords, then its from Microsoft marketing.
Common sense is admitting there is cause and effect and that you can exert some control over what you understand.
