Bless you, bless you, bless you for using "affected" instead of the abomination that is "impacted."
Wisdom teeth are sometimes "impacted." Otherwise that word should rarely be used
|
|
|
|
|
In my opinion, "get" can always be replaced by a better word!
I use "get" way too much in my own speech; I try to never use it in a document.
You get understand my point?

Yeah just realised I didn't really link the two parts of the clue together properly though - will wait a bit before tweaking it.

I thought it linked pretty well - clear, and fairly easy IMHO.
At least you know you won't be up tomorrow!

I think it's ANNIVERSARY - enemy = adversary - a penny = VERSARY, pub = inn returning as NNI. I'm not entirely sure where the A comes from, though (that might be the awaited tweak).
98.4% of statistics are made up on the spot.

|
|

You're correct. You didn't need to get rid of the 'a'
Enemy - Adversary
loses penny - d - Aversary
pub returns - inn - nni
Anniversary
The awaited tweak was I didn't explicitly say the 'nni' goes in the 'Aversary' - but don't think it mattered.

Dear community,
on January 24, 2003 I joined CodeProject. That was 15 (in words: FIFTEEN) years ago! My MemberID is below 200k; well, that doesn't make me a day-1-member, but still (looking at over 13 million members today) one-of-the-first.
What a great site, what a cool team here!
I just wanted to say THANK YOU to all of you who maintain this site for such a long time, for all the cool articles and help I received here and for giving me a place where I can share that little knowledge I have
I log in almost every single day, in most cases even on weekends, to look around for something new. So I can say, CP is part of my every-day.
THANK YOU!
Cheers,
Mike

We should add that ... now

We'll also do our best to find a ten-year-old cake to send you so you don't feel like you missed out on anything.

We're happy you're here!
I joined CodeProject as a regular member 2 years and 6 month (two years and six month) ago. I know that it's a very little age compared to other's, *BUT* during all this time I had a perfect chance to write 14 articles and thus share my knowledge and talent in programming and IT with others at the CodeProject's community, and, at the same time, to improve and enrich my skills and expertise in my the most favorite field of science by reading various articles published by other members and experts, who're probably more experienced than me. Also, for all this time, I enjoyed helping the vast of entrepreneur programmers who typically request for an assistance on various technical question and issues to be resolved. This way, being a CodeProject's member let me to do (e.g. help others) what I especially like to.
Finally, my special greetings on your CodeProject's membership birthday.
Also I'd like to join in your special thanks to CodeProject's staff for their outstanding work and support to the community of members.
Cheers, Arthur V. Ratz
