Too bad you don't have a pigeon, you could strap the magazine to the pigeon and get it to the person who subscribed.

No, pigeons go home, so his own pigeons would just fly into his own back yard.
He needs to ask the person who was supposed to get the magazine to send a pigeon to him (ask the truck with the boxes of pigeons to drop one off).
Then strap the magazine to the bird and it will bring it home.

I know the answer this time but cannot post as I cannot create CCC. Are loopholes in the rules here?

Loopholes can be arranged, but it depends on what kind of loophole you want!

As I said, I cannot create CCC for tomorrow.

Have a try: it's not simple, but it shouldn't be too bad. Think of a word, then try to find "bits" that fit.
For example, yesterdays:
Word chosen: DIABETES
Break it down, and you have DIES around ABET
Look for synonyms for each word, and he got "comes to a close" and "help". Add in something to indicate one is within the other "with internal" and the clue becomes "Illness comes to a close with internal help" - where "DIABETES" is an "illness"
Have a think about it, and see if you can work something out - if you can, great! If you can't, talk to me nearer the four hour limit and we'll work something out. Sound fair?

You should have posted this on the post in question. There's every chance that Kent will miss it here, while there's much better odds that he'll see it as a reply to his post.

What is the most economical method of setting the thermostat ?
This winter didn't seem too harsh at all until this weekend.
Now I'm running the HVAC system; first time in months.
Should I ?...
- Set the thermostat at the desired temperature and leave it there ?
- (or)
- Turn it off when I leave and back on when I arrive ?

How long would the system have to run to maintain that temperature setting?

Generally, you should set it and leave it. Dropping it a degree or two when gone for more than a few hours may save a little.

Definitely this, but the question is still valid unless it is warm enough to do away with heating completely

Get a thermostat with a timer setting. Our Budapest flat has four time settings so I can set it differently for morning, daytime, evening and night time. As we're not there, it's just on tick over at the moment though.
