Phones are getting bigger - many are already as big or bigger than tablets. Just give it a few years and there'll be phones with 12-14" screens. Lapphones

You know, I wouldn't be surprised if all of this comes full circle, and we end up using mainframes again.
I can see it now, every home will have a mainframe; we can make them look like refrigerators (mini and normal), color choices too.

That'd be nice actually Closer to how authors like Asimov imagined the future would be.

Well - than you've not been to an apple store all week.

I'm starting to think people are secretly in love with Apply, they talk about them so much. Come out the closet man, it's ok.

Ah - you missed the look of delight on my face when my nephew, a video-editor (professional real thing) bought a PC instead of an iSheet. His family had moved to that evil cabal, but now they all have LG phones. Slowly but surely, a smear of sanity returns.
I've never owned an iAnything - part of the "Just Say No!" program.

I have, and both have their strengths. I do think Windows tends to be nice for the developer, but Mac has its strong points too. Kinda silly to bash something you haven't used daily don't ya think?

I would call anybody who bought one a sucker considering that you could build almost 3 top-of-the-line gaming desktop PCs with $9000. 2 if you include triple 4K monitors.

I would not buy this either, but surely the market/purpose for gaming desktops vs gaming laptops is distinct?

While you are correct about their own respective markets, there is too little bang-for-your-buck with gaming laptops for me. I have an older gaming laptop but it's the fallback for when my machine goes on the fritz and I have to wait two or three days for parts.

No word on the battery life?
My bet is 20 minutes, even brand new...and only declining over time.

It has two power adapters and 2 power slots, I'd be surprised if it even runs on battery.

What's the definition of a laptop again? I believe this qualifies as a luggable computer, barely.
Reminds me of Osborne 1[^] .

All better now?
I know the cold that was doing the rounds last December was a nasty one...
You up to doing it today, or do you want me to have a go?

I've still got sinuses full of super-glue but I'm feeling infinitely better than I was on Friday, thanks. I'm more than happy to do today's - just give me a few minutes to think of one.

The forums that I normally frequent here appear to be dying a slow, painful death. So, as I like to answer questions, I've been watching QA for a while to see what the tone is like of the people who are answering questions there. I have to say, things have certainly improved in there lately. So, I posted a couple of answers and that's been fine. The question I have to ask though, what happened to SAK?
