Excuse my probing, but is that bond strong as acrylic?

I just heard that Microsoft’s most recent mantra is “Cloud-first, Mobile-first”. This lofty aspiration has inspired me to concoct a mantra of my own (one even grander than Microsoft’s, IMHO). From here on out, you can expect me to be single-mindedly devoted to pursuing: “Excellence-first, solemnity-first, get-more-done-and-have-more-fun-first, newest-technology-on-the-block-first, diligence-first, balanced-with-mindless-entertainment-first, mom-first, apple-pie-first, no-make-that-chocolate-chip-cookie-dough-first, people-first, church-first, home-first, work-first, peaceful-evenings-out-on-the-veranda-first, and (last but certainly not least – in fact, first) never-forgetting-to-keep-first-things-first-first.”
… and everything else second.

Your primary objective should be to collate your thoughts into a coherent and easily comprehensible form which manages to employ the absolute minimum number of words and phrases yet still fully articulates the concept in its entirety.

Brevity first.

My computer is getting here today! Not tomorrow like it usually would! Shipped on Tuesday, here today.
Three days. Wow. That's impressive for FedEx Ground.
The Asus repair facility is in California, which explains the long shipping times (I am in Indiana)

Do questions with multiple question marks annoy you???

Are you generally happy with your Asus? Asking because we just bought a new laptop for the house\youngest child and it is an Asus.

Yes. It works quite well.
I have an older Asus that has a bad battery but still works quite well (needs to be plugged in, though).
My mom has a 3 year old HP laptop, and it can barely run Win7, much less WinX. It crashes with hardware errors quite often, and HP refuses to fix the issues (they used faulty parts, likely knowingly, and don't really care). I installed Fedora Linux on a small Lenovo laptop my dad used to use so my mom could at least have something useable. I just need to do a few more tweaks to get it completely set up, and show her how to use it.

Good to hear.
Bought ours last weekend during the Georgia sales tax free weekend on Saturday from Best Buy. Wake up Sunday morning and they had dropped the price by $100.00. Went right over after church and got the price reduction.

My parents used to live out north of the city next to a park out there, forgot the name it's been MANY years since I've been to Ft. Wayne. The city has had some hard times over the year Harvester International used to have a huge plant there and just closed the doors one day...put a hell of a lot of people out on the streets.
I lived there for a while but never cared for the place and ended up in KY, where I went to college then here in FL for the last 30 years.

Hooverphonic - Mad About You[^]
Old favorite of mine. Got a few Hooverphonic albums at home and I've been listening to them this last week
For a moment I considered their song Anger Never Dies (as long as HTML/CSS exists), but in the end I'm just mad about Mad About You
Enjoy.

Yes, yes...they are: Inside the plane that crash-landed - BBC News[^]
Yesterday's Dubai plane crash landing: footage from inside the plane.
So...a thin metal tube full of highly inflammable liquid has just crashed with you on board.
Do you:
1) Video what happens for posterity?
2) Make sure you get all your luggage from the overhead lockers?
3) Slowly move to the nearest emergency exit?
4) Get off that sucker as quickly as possible, helping others as you go?
Apparently it's 1, 2, and 3, but forget 4...
And right at the end, look at the engine that's on fire...
Very lucky people. Stupid, but lucky.

yep, saw that down here in the news on Aus TV - these are the people who are talking during the safety demonstration or ignoring it entirely and/or never read the safety card - yet they'd be the first to dial for a lawyer (presuming they did escape and didnt get bbq-d)
