I cannot be bothered by my navel. There is nothing there to contemplate! I'm too busy with really important stuff.

Now you're talking, but why pun-ish us by not giving a link ?
«There is a spectrum, from "clearly desirable behaviour," to "possibly dodgy behavior that still makes some sense," to "clearly undesirable behavior." We try to make the latter into warnings or, better, errors. I realize your mouth is a river unto Thy personalities, but, if you are going to sporge the Lounge with etymology, why not at least see if the word has ever been used here before (it has), and at least post something about the origins of the word.
The Greeks considered the navel (omphalos) the locus of the Soul in man, hence "omphaloskepsis" means, in a broad sense, introspection with perhaps a sub-text (using today's lingo) of "meditation."
The Omphalos, or navel-stone, at Delphi was considered a spiritual as well as geographic "center" of the Cosmos [^].
In order to redeem this emetic post, I offer the following thought:
"a river unto Thy personalities" is an example, in rhetoric, of a paraprosdokian, an "unexpected" finish to the use of a figure of speech [^].

Sing a Song of Bacon[^],
A pocket full of rye.
Four and twenty rashers,
Baked in a pie.
When the pie was opened,
My mouth began to drool;
I stuffed the whole thing in my gob,
And then I looked a fool.

Great subject line (the changed one, that is).
My RSS reader showed me I still had one unread post, but for the life of me I couldn't see it, because the bolded "-" looks exactly the same as the unbolded "-"...

This is strange. This is the second post where there is just a dash (-) for the subject line and a dash in the text, but the responses are about a different post. What am I missing or are you guys just playing a prank on me?
When you are dead, you won't even know that you are dead. It's a pain only felt by others.

That's a really strange heading, I know, but it leads nicely into the fact that JSOP has requested Video Articles[^] (or varticles). Being a person of low brow humour, I couldn't help but chuckle at the fact that it was close to farticles. Now, Chris has latched onto the thought that Featured Articles could be farticles.

Much rejoicing! And frolicking even, I think.
frolick : to gambol merrily;
Yes, definitely. Let the gamboling begin.
