It'd probably be "Hang the elephants who dumped 'em!" here.
And I for one would agree.

Years ago (like 30) I walked out of my apartment to my car, which meant having to walk by the dumpster in the parking lot. I heard these tiny "mews" coming from the dumpster and discovered someone had put 4 kittens, probably no more than 3 weeks old, in a cardboard box in the dumpster.
I took them in, there was more flea than kitten to them, gave them all baths in de-flea-ing stuff (box said not to use on less than 6 week old kittens, but there really wasn't much choice.) The water turned pink from all the flea poo.
Kept them for a few weeks, it was the cutest thing to see them playing in the book cases and my other two cats took to them right away, which was amazing. They all survived and I found good homes for them.

You should have just left it at "years ago" because now, for some reason, I have this mental image of you being like, 75 years old.
Good story, though.

Well, it's red because it's from the blood of what they feed on, it just turns pink in the de-flea-ing stuff because that's milky white.

To follow the post below...
They are insanely fast in a creepy sort of way
A couple of days ago I ordered something (nothing particularly important, cost the equivalent of around 20 dollars)
Only 8 hours later it had arrived. Now there is no way they could have been so quick unless they are clairvoyant or have a time machine.
This was regular delivery too, at no extra cost.

No its definitely a star trek like beam transporter that they are using. Or telepathy. Probably both because even telepathy won't be enough to get them through the traffic and the two-foot wide roads here so fast

Also Amazon.it. But htey have a warehous 100 km from me and there is a comfortable highway linking us so it's probable. They caught me off guard a couple of times... luckily my local delivery services are freaking humane and it's easy to not incur in penalties or problems.

Or they sent you a goon squad that brainwashed you into ordering something and then forget that little detail. Your order was already on the way before the goons knocked on your door.

I rarely shop Amazon.com but I had a gift card. I ended up needing to return one item. They provided a prepaid return label which was nice. I dropped off the package at the UPS store. An hour later I had an email that my item had been returned and my money was refunded. Sure enough, the refund was already posted.
I do appreciate quick service but this seems silly. Why not just an email stating that they have been notified that the return is in the mail and you'll be reimbursed as soon as they receive it. If someone were to send something back that they had damaged then Amazon will have to re-charge the account.
I should have sent back an empty envelope, just to test their processes, as a quality check.

I shop a lot, both on Amazon.com and the other Amazon sites (such as Amazon.co.uk, .de, .fr etc) and have always been extremely satisfied with them. As far as I'm concerned, Amazon is more or less a one stop shop. If they don't have it, it's not worth having...
Ok, Amazon, you can credit my account now with the money you promised me if I'd say that...
