I have Netflix and some of the shows I watch on Netflix are not available on Amazon. Also Amazon prime music does not have an app for the Windows phone, and Amazon prime video does not have an app for Samsung Smart TVs. Kinda show stoppers for me really.

Yeah I can see the value merely for the 2 day shipping. In fact I was going to get it when they had a 3 day sale and offered it for $70. Last minute I cheaped out and decided not to.

How dare you accuse them of pushing people to their subscription service!

A bit odd when you consider that their Amazon Prime Video really sucks.
Almost everything is for a fee - sometimes extraordinarily high fees,* at that. Frequently dated, even then.
After an assortment of free trials I found Hulu Plus to be my best choice for my cable-cutter video streaming. That, and a mind boggling amount of free services.
I must say, my US$7.99/mo fee is hugely cheaper than what the cable TV would cost.
* E.g., Foyle's War jumped from free to US$7.99/episode.

What additional free services does Hulu Plus offer?

I meant streaming free services - not HuluPlus, per se. HuluPlus, itself, is vast. So are many of the other subscription sites, so that's not a particular reason for subscribing.
I picked HuluPlus because it satisfies My/Mrs. TV series needs. Almost everything we watch is available the next day and for about five weeks more. I'm much less interested in movies. As they get older movies turn up free, soon enough, and the existing libraries are amazing.
Eventually, entire seasons are added and you can start from beginning watching something new, catch up, and then follow in almost real-time.
To get an idea of the vastness, check out Roku streaming stations. Roku, as a company, are crappy, but the availability of streaming stations is currently the largest.

Ive being seeing this more and more: you go to a site and you want to zoom in (you want to see more detail in a diagram, yo left your glasses upstairs etc) and you can't. You pinch, you zoom, and nothing.
I've seen this on sites that previously allowed zooming. It's weird
Someone actually went to the trouble of dis log zoom. It rarely affects layout (it's a viewport zoom, not a texts or element resize). There's nothing to be gained. Yet it seems to be more and more prevalent.
Anyone have any ideas on why?

I don't think it's intentional, seems to be bugs in their responsive sizing code.

Not sure. You need to explicitly screw around with the viewport settings.

Obvious.
Marketing demands it looks as they designed it. Zooming is not allowed, as it breaks the design.
