Edge...Edge...I can't remember him...
Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

I don't know, his work with U2 was quite good, until he started repeating himself. Not sure how burning mammals(especially foxes!) would help.

Burning mammals? Can;t see how that would help, but if ...ooo! Shiny!

Nope.
Tried it, used it to install Chrome, not been back.
Wouldn't say it's "good looking" - "ugly and bland" is a better description to my mind - wouldn't say it's that fast. It's a little quicker than Chrome, but it does so little that I'm not surprised. No Adblock, no extensions at all.
Dull, and in practice pretty useless.

Have you had access to my last appraisal?
Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.

Ah.
That was you? Sorry - I wrote it...

With appraisal like that, who needs critique?

I haven't used edge enough to give a thorough review but enough to know that I don't like it.
Downloaded a file. Blabla something something not trustworthy. - Cant run file from browser.
Search bar / url field. Annoyingly blends in with everything else.
Some random troubles.
On the last computer I installed w10 on id dint even bother delegating the task of downloading another browser to edge and just used my trustworthy USB of goodies.
Cant say anything about the performance.
I'm not a big fan of w10 UI and its the same with edge.
Once it has matured it may be better but by now IU think Microsoft should know better, It feels like they try to be different from earlier designs just for the sake of being different.

Hate is a little over the top, don't you think? Why waste all that emotional energy. Don't like it, don't use it. Simples. Save your wrath for something that matters like badly made coffee or a bacon shortage!*
* Don't panic people. It's just a for instance. There is no bacon shortage ... yet[^]!

Never mind all that. Its greatest failing is not being able to set "Open in new tab" for clicked links.

Some time ago, someone mentioned here in the Lounge that you can activate Windows 10 with a valid activation code for Win 7 or 8, provided you install the 10586 build. Today I tried it, when I had to do a family member's computer and it worked!
I installed Win 10 on a brand new SSD on a computer that used to run Win 7 Pro, using its Win 7 activation code. No upgrade, just a clean install. The 10586 build accepted the code and installed 10 Pro without a single hiccup. The installation activated immediately. All drivers were installed correctly, except for a Canon printer. I found a brand new Win 10 driver on the Canon website, and all was well after that.
It seems that, provided you use the 10586 build disc it is not necessary to upgrade first, before a clean install.

There's something wrong with your post. The paragraph containing the usual complaints about Windows 10 didn't make it through.

I really must try harder to dream up some complaints!

I think this is more due to the fact that people who don't have a problem with something don't bother posting...thus all you read about is complaints.
Off the top of my head--I can't really think of any significantly issue I've come across myself. But then, I don't do upgrades--always clean installs.

I did a few upgrades, but always followed it up with a clean install. I have had too many bad experiences trying to upgrade an operating system.

Just had maple and bacon ice cream. Sounds like it should work. Looks good: chock full of bacon pieces, smells of maple.
Initially tastes good but then it leaves a strange after taste.
I had to have a scoop of salted caramel to cleanse my palate.

That just means you need to eat more of it to avoid the after-taste experience.
