Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?
--Zachris Topelius

We are talking about politicians, right? You are setting the bar for acceptability way too high for a career in that field. We must be kind to the intellectually impaired!
How do we preserve the wisdom men will need,
when their violent passions are spent?

Amen. Standing (running, for our American friends) for high office is a sure indication of raving lunacy.
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.

Happy Australia Day[^]. I see Bob is having himself Marmite and a brew - didn't know that Marmite was conpulsory for celebrations down under...
Take it easy on the Penguin Piss, MM!

Have a closer lok at Bob's right hand and you will see that he is holding a pot of Vegemite[^]. Hence the reference to a Vegemite sandwich in this video[^] after 01:12.

My first paycheck was entirely devolved to the nearest library.

I'm sorry, library is a false friend in Italian - I wanted to say bookshop BTW we don't usually have fines for lateness (excpet after more than 6 months and at least 2 formal notifications) because as a public service open to everyone users are not supposed to have money to spare, so the fine is actually a ban from the service of the same lenght of the lateness.

As I answered in the post before, I wanted to say bookshop. In Italian "libreria" means bookshop, while library is "biblioteca" (derived straigthly from Greek).

I usually send the books on a road that leads to me. Unless I want one in my native language, then I take a different road than you, but the destination is the same. And there are these little book shops in Ljubljana, not sure how to translate the word, but those are worth checking out - usually for some unknown or known but rare/hard to get poetry.

How do they make bookahol? Mix old books, water and yeast and then wait a few weeks?
The language is JavaScript. that of Mordor, which I will not utter here
This is Javascript. If you put big wheels and a racing stripe on a golf cart, it's still a f***ing golf cart.

The glue they use to bind the books can be processed.

It may not look as intellectual, but would simply sniffing the glue not work better?
