Be careful if you're talking hypotetically: putting imaginary root beer in a square cup results in loss of beer.

If that's your car in the video, I would have blurred the license plate but since it's a Texas plate no one will mess with you, you're packin'.

Well, the wife has no interest in the car, so I'm not gonna ask her to stand by the side of the road with a video camera as I go by. Trying to find someone willing to do it, and everyone I've asked wants to be the driver.

Actually, if I ever pass by Texas I'll make a detour to hold that camera for you. Yes that's a serious offer.
Pity about the lack of passenger seat though.

I dunno - I get around 40 mpg (7 L/100Km) on unleaded petrol.
My Shogun got 20 (14 L/100Km) on Diesel!

I get 8 in my Mustang when I'm being easy on it.
I'm rarely easy on it.
I have several signs I use at car shows:
"STAND BACK! This car is killing the planet, and I'd hate to see anything splash up on you."
"Why no passenger seat? Because screaming from passengers was starting to annoy me, and getting pucker marks out of leather is almost impossible."
"Louder than your mamma was last night, and faster than your sister."
"Warning. Performance parts were installed with no regard for the environment."

The Shogun is a truck (from my point of view).
As for the the first reference, make, model make all the difference.
Which is really my point - my Saturn SL2 (killed by Sandy's saltwater bath) did 40+ mpg highway.
That being said, there's a mental attitude in the US, oddly covering both ends of the political spectrum: from the left, they think a big beast is safer - and then drive horribly because they feel like they'll win in an accident. From the right, they think it's their right - nay, their duty - to over-consume at every opportunity. Possibly with the perception that it's a way to antagonize the left. They also need a car big enough for their gun-rack.
But the rest of us want to bypass as many fueling stations as possible.*

Ummm, wow, that's an intellectually broad statement. Almost breathtaking in it's lack of facts (your political commentary). I'm on the right, and honestly, I have never known anyone to just over-consume. I know what I don't like is someone in my pocket telling me how I must spend my treasure.
