rant of the day.
When entering or defining a datetime and you set year, month, day, hour, minutes, seconds (not milliseconds).
Who here at CP considers it a good idea to set the milliseconds to something that is something else than zero?
This is exactly what java does (or at least the version I'm working with). Even worse, to set the milliseconds there is no constructor or set method override to also set the milliseconds. Or you need to override the non-zero value after construction like set(calendar field, value) or you need to use the setMilliseconds method or something like that.
(My guess is that it takes the milliseconds of the system)
That was the main subject of my day ...

Look how many milliseconds you spent complaining. In that time you might just as well have set them

Are you saying that you create a datetime specifying resolution to the second and Java then makes up something for the millisecond part??
I blame Apple.

Any chance the datetime is being stored as floating point number which is why the milliseconds are being set?

Same... I usually stick to C#/WPF unless the project requires something else... But the company had me fill in on some Java projects...
First impression: Yeah, I did this stuff back in college... Easy to re-learn...
Second impression: Hmm, Java isn't so bad... The standard libraries are kind of crappy, but I can work around that...
Third impression: Wait, what's type erasure? ... You're kidding, right? You're not kidding... Can I just do this in a real language?

We train dogs to fetch things like newspapers and mail.
Dead wood newspapers and mail are being killed by electronic messages over the internet.
The internet is full of cats.
I don't think this is a coincidence.
