How bad could this be, I thought?
WTF, right on the very first page, the very first of those so-called factoids.
Congratulations China, you never cease to amaze me. And not in a good way.
[Edit]
Ok, so technically your link wasn't the first page. Still...

The Seeed Wio Terminal I had bricked itself. Apparently if it crashes it can enter a state where it can no longer accept new code.
Also Seeed advertises it as having 4MB of external PSRAM. They do not document it, or even provide a schematic to show how it's connected - like which SPI bus it's on. For all I know it's not in there at all, and they just lied in their product description. May as well have, and saved some money on manufacture.
I had just gotten DMA working on that little thing - based around a SAMD51 made by Atmel who I do not like. However, Atmel chips are very common and the SAMDs are ARM based, unlike ESP32s which makes them better in that respect. It was worth learning them, even if the Wio it was in is junk.
So now I can't do any performance testing with LVGL or UIX on that device like I planned.
That was what I was planning to do this afternoon. Now what? Meh.

Go outside and enjoy the sunshine?
I am just waiting for the wife to return home, then we are off camping for the weekend. This morning I got the camper hooked up and ready to roll.

Why don't you like SAMD51?
Just curious.

Mainly because Atmel tools stink.
However, you can run Arduino on most of them rendering the issue largely moot, as long as you're willing to use Arduino.

So, I semi retired at the end of June. I spent most of July playing with myself, cleaning the garage, financial paperwork, etc. The garage is still not done, and the SSA is the most useless... anyway
Then my wife checked her retirement benefits and realized SHE could retire. We are not wealthy by any means, but we have little debt so we'll get by. But I don't know what to do with her. This is completely weird like we're in a fuzzy zone of vacation but we're not. She's watching a video on sewing at the moment, and I'm checking $$ accounts, but...
Just too funny. I know it's early and we're in transition, just thought I'd share.

This day and age, retirement doesn't mean you have to lay down and wait for death. It just means now you have time to pursue something important to you instead of your employer.
