Not a bad idea.
Most people who look inside my garage/workshop say it looks like it's upside-down already, so that would put an end to their snide comments.

...being a rocketengineer. This is soooooo bloody interesting!
Meanwhile i try to achieve knowledge about rocketscience... well at least Kerbal Space Programm teaches me a lot. There is so much fun, stuff to do and damn, since i am able to calculate TWR and the delta v my rockets can achieve i get better and better in planning missions to foreign planets. Yeah math!
The next step is developing more efficent rockets and specifying the effective payload i can carry with them to target x (example how many tons may my satellite weight to get him into orbit at x km height).
Ahw i can't even explain how much fun this is to me. And the MODS! Playing a realistic mission with need of lifesupport like food, water, oxygen.
Sadly i don't know if they need someone like me in real life as i am becoming a softwaredeveloper...

I am doing a BSc in Astrophysics, followed by one in Maths.
I want to be the guy that drives a nuclear powered robot across the surface of Mars.
Now THAT is a job!

BTW! You might be able to explain me how to calculate the delta v needed to get a Rocket with weight x to Orbit y Km high ?
Because i end up getting the delta v the stage puts out but don't know how to calculate the delta v needed.
I tried to solve it step by step, separated the calculations per stage and tried to assume the gained height. But it seems not that accurate because the trajectory turn messes me up a bit
I assume thats essential for calculating the effective payload it can carry as the additional mass affects the other values drastically.

Unfortunately, I've found that every job is as boring as the next, once you actually have to do it every day.

BTW, is it insensitive of me to worry about a German wanting to learn rocket technology?
Things did not go so well for Britain last time you lot took an interest in rockets.
