Far and away more people use proper English, rather than the Merkin dialect.
The point with "milliard" and "billion", though, is that if you use "milliard", rather than use "billion" improperly, you cannot be misunderstood.

I don't care if it is a billon or a trillion. Could you just send me that many (whatever it is) US dollars? I think I'd be ok then and could handle watching the light pulse in the laser all day long and not spend my days trying to outsmart SQL Server!

"Conveyance misplaced the Ambassador, lever up the Spanish killer."(5,3,6)
Not too hard I think.

Carlos the Jackal - Killer
Car = Converyance
Lost = Misplaced
HE = Ambassador (His Excellency)
Jack = Lever up
Al = Spanish for "the".

What is even better than that is the fact that you got it despite my mis-spelling of Jackal.
EL?
WTF?
I can do better than that!
Well done.

Have gone back to using Internet Explorer after dumping it 5 years ago for Firefox. I am loving it ! It goes without saying IE 10 is the best browser around at the moment.

Yet to try IE 11, I am still using Windows 8. Is there much difference?
|
|
|
|

Yes.
11 is faster. Almost as fast as Chrome or Opera.
According to my subjective impression (not measurement), slightly faster than Firefox.

Faster than Chrome and definitely feels smoother than Chrome for me.

Better 3D support too.

You just say that because you need no support a product on IE8-11, Chrome, FF, Safari and Opera...
I'm not questioning your powers of observation; I'm merely remarking upon the paradox of asking a masked man who he is. (V)

I really don't think so. Maybe you're using the Windows 8 styled Internet Explorer, I dumped it for Google Chrome 4 years ago, I installed Windows 8 but still I am dumping it for Google Chrome!

Whether I think I can, or think I can't, I am always bloody right!

No - it just feels like it...
You looking for sympathy?
You'll find it in the dictionary, between sympathomimetic and sympatric

If it makes you happy it can't be that bad.

IE makes me happy? No. Ugly, slow, awkward, and lacking in features. Chrome is much better IMHO.
Win8 make me happy? Only when it's uninstalled, and a real operating system installed instead...

Are you talking about the "Metro-Browser"? (I hate it...)
I got that you don't like Win8, but Chrome "much better" than IE11 on Desktop (Win8.1)? Try a side by side comparison... On Win7 Chrome was much better than IE, but since I use Win8.1 on most of my home and work machines now, I don't feel any need for Chrome... (or maybe I understood something wrong about MS "Content not Chrome" advertising )

IE 11 is available, you know... and it's even better.
