It's only that my first bus is at 17:05 - I need a 3 minutes walk to the bus, so I leaved at 17:00 exactly. It's just that this day is sooooooo looooooooooooooong, I just can't wait to leave with first bus...Now at home and good...

The major part of packing the car for holiday was completed yesterday. All the boxes, bags and assorted gubbins the girls need to take with them for a month in a house that is fully stocked with clothes, shoes, make-up and assorted gubbins that girls need. #not quite full but well loaded and nicely done; even though I say so myself.
I just went out to fill her with petrol, check the tyres, oil and water, and make sure all locations are locked in on the satnav.
Where? Did? That? Come? From?
The back seat was piled high with more junk than a Steptoe & Son look-a-like contest. The dolls, toys and myriad detritus has been removed and the car keys will now stay firmly in my pocket until departure.

So you went from an emergency breakdown kit and 2 changes of clothes/person (one to overnight at a halfway point and a second in case of unexpected delay) to 99% of their wardrobe (excluding what they're wearing now, any dirty laundry, and what they're planning to wear between now and departure) and every toy you haven't broken by stepping on it while stumbling to the bathroom late at night.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

So...situation normal for a wife and children then?

Yup. One daddy to do all heavy/dirty work and three girls to be beautiful. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Pretty much! Estimate what they will take then multiply it by 3.

Close, I go for the much more accurate multiple of √(number of days). So a week is ~x3 and a month closer to x6

Gosh, how terribly interesting. Did you have enough room on the dash board for the second sat nav?

If you think that's interesting, stand by for the reports of traffic on the AutoBahn.

When I travel by air, I take a carry-on bag with everything I need for a week, including the stuff for work. My wife uses her 2 suitcase allowance as well as my 2 suitcase allowance.
When we drive, I take the same bag with everything I need for a week. My wife loads up the trunk (boot), and the back seat.

News: OneCore[^]
I won't be learning OneCore as I hope to skate along in Silverlight just long enough to get out of the programming field altogether. After nearly 15 years in development I've had enough of the 'next big thing' - only to see wonderful environments such as Silverlight get replaced with trash like the HTML stack.
On the upside all of you will earn more for your time as other developers leave the field. Bravo to those of you willing to 'dig into the next framework' or spend hundreds of dollars on books/classes/time reading blogs to figure out the next big initiative that will be lauded as the great new thing only to be oddly and entirely abandoned about the time you begin to get a handle on it.
Nevermind me, I'll be at the beach.
I won't be thinking about OneCore.
Die in a fire.

I don't believe it. Nope, nope, nope and nope. It can be. The devices have different hardware so they are telling me I will be able to run win 7 on my Nokia 7800 ? Nope, nope and still nope.

Oh yeah WinForms is dead I guess and its WPF's life time. Maybe they are talking about the scaling powers of WPF as a "operating system for all devices" because the ui will look the same an all of them(if it runs). OR maybe because the BSOD will look the same on them.
