It's never really gone. Even deactivated, it's a click away. The only thing that you can really change is your own behavior.
Good luck!

I didn't deactivate it, just never used it, until I realized that most of the news about my family from my family was first reported on one of their walls, so I now at least check it regularly to make sure my family isn't doing anything too gloomy (I mean you, stepson!)

When I was at school taking an unauthorised day off was exciting, it was thrilling, there was a sense of being outside the law, and of course the desperate hope that you wouldn't get caught.
When you take an unauthorised day off from work you just hope that someone at least noticed you weren't there.

... and how does Joy feel about this?

Have you ever noticed that women called Joy have much less of it than normal people?

I remember last Christmas, we had an office party, and everyone was feeling Mary. So she got up and left... and everyone jumped for Joy.

I'm not questioning your powers of observation; I'm merely remarking upon the paradox of asking a masked man who he is. (V)

Yes, you can have an unauthorized day off.
But, some seniors didn't want to take ideas from the juniors. And, at the end of the day, they will come with the idea (which is the junior's idea) and someone will take the credit.
Don't mind those people who say you're not HOT. At least you know you're COOL.

Growing old may be mandatory; unfortunately it is not guaranteed! Be careful out there!

I'd rather a wild life than a careful life. That's how stories are made. When I finally do die at the ripe old age of 120+, I fully expect pats on the back and high fives at the pearly gates for being stupid and reckless.

Probably not. I'll just have to spray paint some pearly gate graffiti in hell and pretend then.

I must have had a different childhood, taking an unauthorised day off school would have resulted in fairly serious (for that age anyway) repercussions from my school and parents. And surely it's a guarantee to get caught, schools take registers don't they?

Depends how cunning you are, how good at faking letters or phone calls from parents, how good at conning your parents into leaving you home alone (the Ferris), how good you are at sneaking out of school again after registration.

The freedom that come with being a grown up can be great, if you know how to use it. It seems that almost no one does.
You can basically do whatever the hell you want, as long as you don't exceed your budget. Here, I'll help you:
- eat ice cream every day.
- don't finish dinner but have dessert anyway. (or just skip dinner)
- in fact, don't skip dinner: you're eating what you want anyway.
- stay up late.
- don't wake up until lunch. (or later!)
- play video games all day. (and night)
- eat and go swimming right after. (the cramps are a myth)
- run indoors.
- run downhill.
- run anywhere. You're an adult, most people assume you have a good reason for running and don't interfere. protip: don't have a good reason.
- or never run, because lazy.
- do whatever. The only rule is to avoid negative consequences.
And none of that "b-but responsible!" crap. The best thing about being a grown up is that other peoples' ideas about what being grown up means are irrelevant.
