He is an arsewipe. He was sacked by a national paper for publishing faked photos of abuse in Iraq. I'm frankly very surprised the US let somebody like that in to your country. No matter what the reason or who profited from it you did the UK a favour by taking him. He's yours. We don't want him back.

Whilst I'm not a great fan of Clarkson as a person (as opposed to Top Gear presenter), I have to commend him for his actions against Morgan on Concorde. If only he'd seen fit to defenestrate him at the same time.

Watched live CNN for a little while as it was a novelty back in 1980. Never have since although I'll browse to their website once a month, maybe see a couple of the clips attached to a story...

Coke's Solution To The Social Media Problem[^]
If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.-John Q. Adams You must accept one of two basic premises: Either we are alone in the universe, or we are not alone in the universe. And either way, the implications are staggering.-Wernher von Braun Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.-Albert Einstein

I also see the fail in this idea. People will just get more tired in their arms as they need to hold their phones higher up.

That's hilarious and pathetic at the same time.

So.. Nokia is releasing some Android phone just being acquired by Microsoft?
WTF?
What do you think? Are you gonna buy one?
|
|
|
|
|
Apparently, the unit of Nokia (Nokia CTO) has not been bought by Microsoft!
So it may develop some more units if it gets a good response from public!
A desperate attempt to rise!
Also, it uses a forked version of android, which i suspect won't be of that interest to the general public, but who knows what might click for them!
Acc. to the specs, it has a really good battery life and is inexpensive which could be a selling point!

I suppose general public does not even care about which version of Android runs on their phone.

The development of the phone started before Microsoft was interested in Nokia. They finished development and invested money. Now they have two options: Cancel the project or sell the phone and get some money back. This is not the first time that Nokia sells a product because it has been developed but was not really interested in supporting it for a longer period: Same story with the N9 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_N9[^]) using the MeeGo OS and the PureView 808 using Symbian.
If you think about buying one, ask yourself: How long will the phone get updates?

And the other question: do you care? If it's cheap, and good, and (let's be honest) you will change it in a year or so, then why care if support stops at the end of the warrantee period?

I would care. Because I would not buy a phone for just a year even when it is cheap like the Nokia X. Buying such devices for short times of usage is waste of resources.
Overall, everyone has to decide for himself.

You wouldn't, but many do - look at the iPhone market, where the "current greatest model" is out of fashion by the end of the week.
I'm with you to a certain extent - my phone runs Windows Mobile 5, and was released in 2006, so I'm not exactly wasting resources here - but if it died, would lack of support bother me? No - I've never updated a phone, and never needed to. But...I carry my tablet with me everywhere, so I'd be more likely to replace my existing phone with a less intelligent device that just does calls and texts.
