He has tried this before - and was roundly thrashed by the electorate. Probably because they could see right through his "policies", such as they were...

Can't find the actual post where he was delighting in it - local elections of May 2011, Lounge, but the search is "a bit rubbish" here.
This refers to it though: http://www.codeproject.com/Messages/3724989/Re-UK-Met-Office-increasingly-full-of-sh-t.aspx[^]

I heard the problem was more to do with seeing through his rather threadbare plus-fours.

With just one spam posted by a member in either of CP's forums, does that particular member have to be kicked-out immediately in CP? Cause, what I've seen earlier, that's the first time that member posts (or maybe not. I don't know..), and after it was downvoted 4 times, the message is automatically removed and the member also.
Don't mind those people who say you're not HOT. At least you know you're COOL.

It is reported - A report automatically results in a downvote.
The Member is not automatically removed, it is just common practice to report spammer accounts, too.

ah. okay. So for example, I will have a spam post today and be reported 4 times, I will be immediately removed too?
In my opinion, maybe a warning should be given if that is the first time a member posted a spam. And if that hard-headed member repeats posting spam for the second time, maybe that's the time the member to be removed..
But, as I was saying, that's just my opinion..

If they want to advertise the can pay like every other company out there too. Posting spam messages in forums is just rude and shows a complete lack of respect for the members and the rules of the board. So I feel it's completely fine to kick those users out.

Okay, I'm just curious. But I do understand your point. Thanks for the clarification.
Another question, do you consider nba.com a spam? Cause, what I've seen on the previous post its like something about World Cup...
P.S. I didn't see the site's content. It's blocked here.

I don't know what the message was about. Neither did I report the message nor the user (both were gone before I opened CP today )
It always depends on the message. I can't really define what I vote spam and what I don't (if I could define it then the spam guard should be able to do it too and take care of the spam itself)
Why livestream spammers are always trying to flood CP, however, is beyond me. It isn't really the target audience they seek... (Why the hell should I care about football/hockey/etc. games in the US?)

They don't care either - I think its a spam farm. They get paid a trivial per post they manage to get up there, and high-volume sites like this one are definitely prefered.

If you are referring to the "Automatically Removed" post below, it was a link to a site where you can watch the Olympics online, but not an official site. That is what we refer to as "Live Stream Spam". There used to be dozens of those every day in QA (some days closer to a hundred) so we fight them hard and we do not feel bad about doing it.
Posts here in the forums can be reported using the red flag in the lower right corner of the post. There are two options Abusive and Spam. When you report a forum post as spam, it is automatically downvoted and the member posting the message is also automatically reported as a spammer. After five of those reports the member is kicked off. I am not sure if it takes 3, 4 or 5 reports for the message to be removed. It seems to vary a bit.
