And there was me hoping that there was a word spelt Frfeflu (FR(ench) Fe(iron) Flu(chimney - OK, it lost an e somewhere))

Have you considered being Fueled By Caffeine instead? It might help!

Berlinist - Gris, Pt. 1[^]
The SOTW often gives a little insight into what I've been doing.
I'm sharing soundtracks of movies I've seen, games I've played, locations I visited...
But today, the SOTW gives a little insight into my future!
Last week, I saw Gris at discount in the PlayStation store, only €6.
I remember reading about the game when it came out in 2019, and it's supposed to be a really beautiful work of art.
So I watched a trailer, bought, downloaded and installed the game and played for three minutes, looked amazing.
It's a small game that should take three to four hours and I am free tonight!
So tonight I'll be playing Gris.
The soundtrack already blew me away though, so it's SOTW in advance
If you're into gaming, I can really recommend watching a trailer, this game is beautiful and unique in every way, and just like the soundtrack it's very serene.

Nice ... it made me think somehow about Blade Runner 2049 soundtrack.
In the metal alley there is some news on my side, it includes a new album from Decapitated,
and in the past 2 weeks I've been listening a lot to the latest Meshuggah, thanks to SOTW
Beyond metal, also Dave Clarke channel keeps coming back on my YT, which is good

Some parts of this track are quite amazing ...

A bit of delay, but I've finally come around to listening to the replies to last week's SOTW

I wanted to load some JSON from a couple of web based APIs to get the local time and weather.
The trouble is I didn't actually want to use JSON, because that's a nasty dependency.
What about regex? There's no regex engine readily available to my IoT widget.
Well, traversing a DFA state table that represents a regular expression in C++ is almost trivial.
Generating that table is not.
But I have a regex engine in C#, and it's capable of generating that table.
So I whip up a little C# program to generate a C++ array representing the "DFA table" for a regular expression - basically the opcodes it needs to match the expression.
And then some C++ code to traverse it.
3 languages
Regex
C++
C#
To "parse" a fourth, a JSON subset
In a really compact way.
And I'm not even doing front-end web development - just a REST/JSON client.
To err is human. Fortune favors the monsters.

"Some people, when confronted with a problem, think "I know, I'll use regular expressions." Now they have two problems." - Jamie Zawinski
I'm also not sure why JSON would be a dependency while regex is not
Also not sure about the nature of your project, but when an employee of mine would use regex, that no one knows or expects in a web API scenario, in favor of JSON, which everyone knows and expects in that scenario, I'd have a very serious talk with him
