I went thru this too and wrote up how to get it set up with a PAT (Personal Access Token) on StackOverflow : Authenticate with GitHub using a token - Stack Overflow[^] .
Figuring it out was inscrutable to me and I couldn't believe it when I finally figured it out.
It makes me feel better that someone as smart as you had trouble figuring it out too.
The main docs on it are really terrible. I couldn't tell my PAT from a hole in the ground.

I wasn't aware of this problem until now. I've always used SSH keys and, according to the link you provided, seems those are still good to go:
Quote: You may also continue using SSH keys where you prefer.
My combo is TortoiseGit with PuTTY/Pageant for SSH authentication. Would something like that work for you?

I guess I was under that impression due to some one of those silly holiday movie...
In fact I have been to Thailand once and didn't see anything like that!
I went Ayathusa though.. and then saw the replica in Overwatch, yeah!

Hi Mate,
At first read, my weak eyes saw 'Ayahuasca' and then interpreted 'Overwatch' to be a movie about some air-headed new-age seekers in Columbia drinking a hallucinogen, and barfing, to shamanic drumbeats
Then, i got focused, and realized you must have meant 'Ayutthaya' ...
i'm still lost in the woods about what 'Overwatch' is
i'm afraid these kinds of missing references in my mappa mundi are an artifact of how i have (by choice) "dropped out" of many aspects of contemporary western culture for over 15 years. Note: in my little saga, "turn on" did not follow "drop out, tune in"
Or, maybe, my brain-fog is thicker thanks to trying to serialize a DataTable with a circular reference using the .NET BinarySerializer ?

Haha.. you spotted Ayathusa, which is good enough!
Overwatch is (one of my favorite) video game by Blizzard which is set in a near future Earth. And it has multiple map from places on earth. One such map is in Ayathusa! And it has many Thai statue from that place!
It's multiplayer, player versus player, though.. And I struggle, at 50.. when put up against all those salty arrogant aggressive young kid, hahah!
They have some cool short animation though, every now and then, to build excitement

... but won't tell you why you can't run it.
But this (in theory) does: Want to know why your PC can't upgrade to Windows 11? Theres an app for that | TechRadar[^]
Interestingly, my Surface Go 2 the tool says "no way José", but this app says it's all fine - so the chances are the MS tool needs some ... um ... tweaking.
My desktop on the other hand ...
Red for legacy boot method, Partition type not GPT, Secure Boot disabled, TMP missing or not detected.
Amber for the CPU compatibility.

Time to have a chat with your BIOS re booting. It may also have disabled hardware or firmware TPM.
Requiring GPT partitioning is interesting...

LOL,
I tried the Windows tool and it cannot check my work PC because Windows is handled/managed by my organisation.
Anyway, I'm pretty sure my couple of years old work PC (dell) does not have the TPM chip.

I have a 3 year (almost) old Dell XPS desktop and it is fully compatible with 11. So it must have a TPM chip. Yours may have it too?

I just ran the Windows 11 PC Check program on my own Dell XPS desktop and it passed without any issues. I wonder if it will work on my Dell Precision laptop with a Xeon chipset...

I checked my BIOS and it says TPM is available and enabled. Running Win 10 64 bit on a HP Pavilion laptop, bought as recently as Aug 2020.
But when I run cmd as an admin and launch tpm.msc, it says:
Compatible Trusted Platform Module (TPM) cannot be found on this computer. Verify that this computer has a 1.2 TPM or later and it is turned on in the BIOS.
Anybody got a clue as to what might be wrong?
Cheers,
Vikram.
