I got lucky.

I was trying to get some old projects of mine to build. They used CMake.
CMake wasn't building my projects. It used to find the compilers, but now it can't. So I added some env variables
Now CMake was building my projects. But I go to run them, I get no output. No error. Nothing.
Worse, I try to compile one of my projects that used my graphics lib and I was getting all kinds of compile errors. Yikes. Even though the C++ standard was set to 17.
I install another copy of MinGW from another source. Now it says my C++ compiler can't compile the test program (CMake tries the compiler with a dry run source file to see if it works)
I feel like an idiot.
I was using 32 bit versions of everything. I have no idea why. I know better.

It's common when you're a new or otherwise inactive user because you don't have that many reputation points.
It's kind of a pain but it's a necessarily evil to cut down on spamming and such, which the site gets a lot of.
Just be patient, and eventually you'll get an established reputation (you can check it your profile) and you'll no longer be automoderated.
We all go through this hazing ritual.

It's a heuristic system: it learns from what you post and what happens to stuff it thinks might be spam. If you are a new member and a post gets flagged as "possible spam" it "keeps an eye on you" for a while and then forgets about you if you "behave".
It's pretty good most of the time and it doesn't take too long for it to get bored and stop.
When it was new and shiny it added me to the naughty list and I spent a while having to moderate my own posts! 
Give it a while and you'll be fine.

I've reduced the choice of monitors to those two:

In both cases I'd get two of them.
This said, I own a Thinkpad P14s Gen 2 with USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 (NO THUNDERBOLT). Would both monitors work with that laptop?
Would it be possible to daisy chain the two monitors using USB C or Display Port?
Nowadays I have two QHD monitors connected to a dock station that works using that USB C 3.2 Gen 2 connector and it works well... but I am tired of the dock failures (I must reconnect both displays every time I get into the office).

We have an internal web-based dashboard that shows the current or last state of most of our automation apps and their tasks. Each app is listed and color-coded to indicate its state: green for okay/information only, yellow for an error, red for a critical error. I want to add symbols to aid in quickly determining these states without resorting to colors for any folks with a color vision deficiency.
Is there a standard or widely used set of symbols that represent those three states? If not, what symbols would you suggest?

Thanks. I was considering the warning triangle for errors, and debating the use of either a fire or a fire extinguisher for criticals. Currently no symbol means the app hasn't reported anything.

You might use an XXX for no communications, and a picture of a dumpster fire for Critical...

I don't know if there is a standard but here's what I have used in the past :
check mark = OK
exclamation = Error
big X = Critical Error
I used these because there are icons in a variety of styles and sizes available for all of them, such as for the message boxes in windows.

Thanks. Those are also available in various HTML character sets which are easier to use than image icons. I'm using the check mark elsewhere, so I might need to find an alternative for one case.

Um, how about words? In the past icons used to make sense, but now they are often times just a symbol that no one can initially decipher (hence your question).

The dashboard already lists the typically long app names of which there are currently about 15; I think more words would clutter it up and take more mental effort to see the status words.

I'd look at MesageBox icons, they're universal and most people get the meaning.
If you can't find time to do it right the first time, how are you going to find time to do it again?
