nag = GG?
I tried to anagram horse or scold around gate or door.

Children are often taught "Gee Gee" rather than "Horse" when they are learning to speak as it's a load easier to say. It comes from the early days of horse racing: Chester Racecourse - Wikipedia[^]

Never heard of it, and it verges on child abuse.

nag - Wiktionary[^]
I also tried to mislead into making an anagram of "unite a nag"

It worked until I realized there weren't any - and that gave me "RE" to go with "GATE"

Look - I will admit readily that we have our "types" over here in the US. Doing something like deep-frying an entire turkey is mucho-macho in some quarters.
But many of us - particularly the Northeast, especially coastal regions, and certain parts of the west coast, are quite rational.
I mean, be fair - can you look at a place like France and judge all of Europe by them, can you? Or perhaps consider 'the running of the bulls' and the marvelous sanity that reflects. The US is basically the size and population equal (close enough). So we have the full range of lunatics, cultural misfits, and even nice people.
No need to go on - as my late father used to say "you cannot smell your own". Oh so true!

You are right, we should not make fun of American people, especially in these hard times.
Wish the American people the best and that things may return to normal soon!

Really - it's part of a statistical inevitability (since people QC hasn't improved in scillions of years).
There's more crime. More bad drivers. There are more nuts. More crazy new 'customs'. More of everything that catches our attention.
Well - there's more people to do it/them. From each of our personal perspectives, things are "getting worse" - we cannot help but count events as we observe them (overtly count our just sense). The thing is, is it really worse on a percentage basis? Absolute numbers clearly on the rise. Relative - maybe. Also, current technology make it easy to report every incidence of everything pretty much as it happens.
Actually, even that doesn't cover the question. More wacko's cause more trigger events that possibly to propagate the incidences - this is only hypothetical as it may also be considered under the same considerations as the previous paragraph. I'm thinking of it in terms of "a bigger rock thrown into a bigger pond will have more observable ripples strong enough to interact with their surroundings"
Basically, and quite cynically, the growing depth of sewage in which we seem to be finding ourselves is a natural consequence of having more contributing to the waste-production process.

I think the idea is that it ruins the turkey so thoroughly that from that point on you can have something that tastes good instead. And doesn't try to set the whole house on fire[^] ... That's worth $100 to me, at least!
It's a pretty dull meat, after all.
