Exactly! It is only different... and one should learn to live with the different...

Sure - I see the good in it! It's enabling!
For those who are both tone-deaf and totally talentless, they can now still become musicians!
Just by a drum-synthesizer, fire it up and burn an album! Maybe two!.
People who call out that shyte for the shyte it is - just spoil sports!
P.S.: this notion will be expanded to restaurants, medical care, and automotive repair. Everyone deserves to be what they want to be - if if they're absolutely inept; not supporting this concept is sheer snobbery.

Spoiler: It's you
Some artists really aren't that good, but not because they play a particular genre of music.

Speak up. I can't didn't won't hear you!
But back to basics - even your post - (in particular your post !) prove my point immeasurably.
Sander Rossel wrote: Some artists really aren't that good, but not because they play a particular genre of music. Ah Ha! Found the root cause of your troubles ! You are calling anyone who picks up an instrument (paint brush, &etc) and artist. No - calling someone "an artist" implies some talent. Something you may do for very small children. For grownups? Maybe you should consider a reality check: just tell them the truth!

Classic! Love that movie
More important, your post further proves his great intellect!
Or wait, he says I should tell grown ups the truth, should I?

I do like Beethoven (mostly) and not a great fun of 'Death Metal, Heavy Metal, Rap, Hip-Hop, Techno'... However I would not define different as worst...
It is only different...
The really sad thing about that article, that those tried to refuse the music status were motivated by money...

I agree with you but I'm not afraid to call it worse.
Well, some prog metal is tolerable...

It's fine, as long as you understand that it is worse for you, but has its place for others...

The courts having to decide what is music...
is an indication of waaay too much government in your lives.
If you can't laugh at yourself - ask me and I will do it for you.

We needed the courts to decide what was bread.
I expect if it's "music", it can be copyright. The alternative is ...?

Techno may be music in the legal sense. It may also be music in the technical sense. However, I would not under any circumstances destroy what is left of my hearing by listening to it.
Classical music, or songs performed by good vocalists (i.e. those who can carry a tune) are my idea of good music.

Armistice Day, as 11 November became known, officially became a holiday in the United States in 1926, and a national holiday 12 years later. In many countries, it is known as Remembrance Day. On 1 June 1954, the name was changed to Veterans Day to honour all U.S. veterans.
Armistice Day is still commemorated throughout the world, marking the day that terrible War ended. Or, at least was suspended, as most historians now conclude that the Second World War was just the follow-on to the First.
If you can keep your head while those about you are losing theirs, perhaps you don't understand the situation.

Let's hope we won't get a third.
That would be the best way to honor the fallen.
Unfortunately, there's too much hate to completely rule out the possibility.
"World leaders" take a break from wars to remember those that have fallen in horrible wars that we should never repeat, only to go back to war a day later.
Will we ever learn?

It's counter-evolutionary: killing indiscriminately (randomly) is a 'culling process' - it is a waste. How much potential has been lost and will be lost because the bodies that house those minds are destroyed?
