So, you're approx 3,813,333 Kevin Harts away from me, but a few more probably wouldn't hurt. At first, I thought this overkill, but if society has taught me anything of late, it's nothing is apparently overkill.
For those unaware, Conan did a joke/commercial on using Kevin Hart cutouts for distance measuring.

Does she have any symptoms?
Hope you two stay okay. We'd miss you around here.
My wife had something for a couple of weeks, fevers, fatigue and then in the middle of the night what we thought were just muscle cramps in her ribs. One CT scan later and she's in the hospital for 36 hours with blood clots in both her lungs. She's home and mending now. Tested negative for Corona at the Emergency Room.

Intermittent temperature, fatigue, and a wet cough - so hopefully it's a cold or flu.

Oh f***! That's potentially really bad.
Make sure they have checked everything really properly!
Best wishes!

She's been to the hematologist and is on blood thinner for 6 months, she's slowly building her strength back. She's anemic and Dr put her on iron.
I have alarms on my phone to make sure she takes her meds.

Sorry to hear that. I hope both of you come through OK.

Thanks - so am I!
Mind you I'm hoping we all get through this - but I suspect there is still worse to come for us all.

On a serious note, sending you both good juju on this. Hoping this does not become too serious for you both.

Thanks for that - hopefully it's just a cold exacerbated by stress and overwork, but we'll find out if and when a test can be arranged. Her lack of ID doesn't help there.

On a different note, how do you manage life without an ID?

ID cards aren't issued in the UK - she has "official id" numbers - NI, Tax, NHS, and so forth, and she has bank cards, birth certificates, and similar paperwork - but no photo ID because she doesn't need it. She never learned to drive (probably a good thing, she'd be a road rage terror) so no photo driving licence, hates to leave Wales (let alone the UK) so no passport.
The UK last scrapped the idea of ID cards back in 2011, after it was discovered that it was going to cost thousands of times more to implement and run that they would claw back by charging every adult to have one ... only took them 5 years to work that one out, after spending £5 billion, and shipping 15,000 cards at £30 each.

Might be worth inquiring. Our state government agency that issues drivers licences also issues a non-licence, purely for the purposes of having a legit photo ID (for 18yos to get into pubs etc). NSW Photo Card - Licence - Roads - Roads and Maritime Services[^]
I went to my GP on Monday for a routine checkup and flu shot. Got IR scanned at the door (36.1, all good) but because I've had a bit of a (wet) cough for a few weeks I got swabbed (yuk). Haven't heard anything more, so I guess it came back negative.
All the best to you both.
