But, I'll bite anyway. Stop quarantining everything. Use your brain and treat it like the flu it is. Simple.

ZurdoDev wrote: It seems that nearly everyone in the developed world has been exposed to the virus but I wonder how third world countries are faring so far.
I think one of two...
The don't get many cases, as they got less exposed because virus spreads much faster in the "mad west world" (vacations, business trips...) and there were less people traveling around there.
They get a huge amount of cases but the world don't care know about it as they are not counted officially because their authorities don't give a crap if the die due to the virus or due to hunger or due to internal wars have the capacities to handle it... and the rest of the world is already busy enough isolating from the rest and looking its own internal problems

Developing countries don't need to worry so much as globalisation and immigration tends to only go one way.

Slums hit back.
On a serious note, yes. India lives by the mercy of Covid-19.
The goverments/systems here are not so advanced as in the USA or EU. And our governments are not as quick and agile as the Chinese.
Indians are laid back, we sit and sit until the virus moves in close and bits off a portion of our a*se. And then scream and do what is needed to be done. - (ie Get funds from WHO & steal money)
China built make-shift hospitals when the virus was breaking out.
Now India waits until it's term comes. No solid pro-active plans, nothing. We just rely on the Hot summer which acts as a natural shield against the virus.

From personal experiences of people who I know and who have traveled to India recently, they say Indian airports were much more stricter in checks and interviews than in other places they were at. I do not know what the state is after you leave the airport though.

Security checks & frisking is quite strict in Indian airports even for domestic travel. For example, asking people to scan their shoes & belts have become a standard routine now. Even when you're flying a 150 miles distance
I wear very loose pants when I travel. Removing the belts and then lifting my hands up for the frisk felt always dangerous.

And even before the virus, indian airports are one of the most annoying I have gone through in my years of travelling around the world.

I think India is prepared. For example, there are about 10 cases in Karnataka (where I live) right now, and for each of those ten cases, the patients, and the persons with whom they have interacted have been isolated.
Same is the case with other states too. And the Centre is taking care of all international travellers entering the country.
So, though we may not have built a mega hospital in 7 days, the underlying groundwork for preventing the spread has been done, and is continuing.
Hoping and praying that this situation continues, where we have very few cases for the billion+ people living here.

The worldwide Coronavirus count as of today, resembles the medals tally at Olympics. China leading, followed by US and European countries. India and other Third World countries are way down the table, and we are hoping that this situation continues with the Third World.

Actually in the developing world, we live and play with viruses like these from childhood so i guess we some how find away of just getting along. By the way, i suspect its already here but with no test kits, no one is seriously interested . So how may it end here, just the same way other similar problems have ended - the virus (not the people will just die a natural death because of starvation )
