And he was right. The overwhelming majority of minor illnesses will go away with little or no treatment other than rest and lots of fluids. A good GP is one who knows the difference between a minor illness and one that requires medical intervention.

True, but it's still a bit of a cop-out. Not everyone goes to the doctor first day of symptoms. I had a phlegmy cough and earaches for about 4 weeks, decided to go doctors and still got told "come back in a couple of weeks". So I went back, different doctor, and was given antibiotics for ear and chest infection. Cleared up in 2 weeks.
I feel the first doctor could have easily diagnosed me correctly if he had just taken a couple of minutes to properly consider the symptoms. I was coughing up some pretty nasty stuff by the time I went to see him!
Although I get that they are overloaded with patients and they just want to play the numbers game.
Anyway, the whole conversation made me think of this[^].

I've got to send that to my GP...

Please upvote and/or comment if you're a C# developer who also develops Android apps (in any language).
Thanks,

If I still could, I'd downvote you.

As is, voted it as inappropriate.

You can request a survey if you wanted, you know how it works.

Thanks.
What's the difference between the question types Single/Multiple choice and Single/Multiple list? A tooltip or example text would help. (I didn't create a survey for fear of using an incorrect type.)

Judging from what I see on YouIdioTube nobody develops Android apps any more - they just throw bits together from Smack Overdose and concentrate on cramming as many paying adverts and chargeable DLC's as possible in there ...

I'm noticing that many Android games are built on the same skeletons with slightly different rulesets and artwork.
Now, that is common in game developement but I never saw it as blatant and widespread as in Android games.

Yes - first in Xamarin C# and then in Kotlin.
Although professionally more as a defect fixer than developer of new functionality.

If by "develop" you mean "swear at", then yes.
So they're on a par with windows and linux apps, for me.

I developed Android apps between 2011 and 2012. I saw the abysmal security and rampant sharing of data, so I stopped developing apps and got rid of my phone.
