I often accidentally hit both Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V at the same time (and overwrite what I intended to copy with whatever happens to be on the clipboard), but that's me fat-fingering it. I hardly ever cut anything, whether intentionally or not.
(incidentally, the 'C' key is the only one on my keyboard that has the lettering on the top surface completely rubbed off...does that say anything about me?)

when I hit Ctrl-C i often fat finger it and hit X and C simultaneously which never fails to clear my clipboard because i always hit the C just after

Wonder if anybody has tried pressing Ctrl + V to see if he'd come back again?
