Can I answer without having to come up with one on Monday. I might not be able to, so...

You can delegate it if work intrudes, so if you want to I'll take Monday if you have the right answer.

Methylenedioxymethamphetamine: also known to De Yoof as "Ecstasy", or "E".
It's a pretty common substitution in CCC's.

It wasn't around in my drug days either: we have to content ourselves with Tetrahydrocannabinol, alpha-methylphenethylamine, and methyl (1R,2R,3S,5S)-3- (benzoyloxy)-8-methyl-8-azabicyclo[3.2.1] octane-2-carboxylate.*
* Or was we called them blow, speed, and coke.

Don't the Americans call it "X", though?

Which also fits the clue too, as we all know "X" means "Unknown Variable", which is this case is "E"

Don;t know - I try not to buy drugs off Americans...

Scarlet Stories - Vingt Mille Lieues Sous Les Mers[^]
A Dutch band this week.
I don't know much about them, except that I could've seen them live at a number of occasions and I didn't (because I didn't know (them) at the time)
They're from Utrecht and just released their debut album.
It's this first single that got me into them.
The song is rather long (11 minutes), but because of the progressive character of the music it never gets boring.
So enjoy

Nice one! It's the first time I've seen a female vocalist do progressive metal.

Just saw the new OneDrive icon appear in my start menu. Who the frick is designing (and approving) such dumb and ugly crapola? Back in Win3.1 days designers took GREAT PAINS to make the smallest possible block of pixels represent some physical abstraction that linked itself to the idea of what the program did. Even full-size, this doesn't look like 'storage' in any way, and I had to look at the full-sized version to recognize it was supposed to represent a 'cloud' (which it really doesn't).
I don't want my desktop to be rained on!!!
(Don't know why it took 5 months to reach my start menu, if it was really released April 26.)
Again,
