Closing the SoapBox failed -
As for who's not taking "No" for an answer - just "peruse the views", below.
It seems to me that, when it comes to "the rule of law" in any of its forms, some believe it to be a one-way street which they ride down on their high horses.

To be fair, I did warn that what was once restricted to the Soapbox would spill over to the other forums, because the only outlet we had was ri[pped out from under us.

And we will close accounts of those who don't respect the rules.
Sorry guys but we've asked politely.

So why did y'all remove it? I don't recall seeing anything regarding that.

I, in fact, do recall that post. Distantly in my mind, I thought of that old saw:
"Hope for the best; expect the worst; and you'll never be disappointed".
Somehow if someone could convince everyone to believe they're expected to be 'the grownup in the room' . . . naah. That's delusional on my part.

No. Applying derogatory labels to political leanings, using the basic vernacular of the Soapbox, is exactly the point.
Add to that the total irrelevance to the context of the OP(s) and you have something pretty obvious going on. Unless, of course, you agree with the aspersions, at which point they are considered no big deal.

Well I ran into something.
If you want to do a B+ tree or B-tree as a disked based container you have to lay your file out in blocks.
The trouble with that is that so many .NET types are not fixed length when they serialize (and even then, their serialization is cluttered with typeinfo i don't need - i already know the type)
so i either have to modify the B+ trees and B-trees substantially and go above and beyond what traditional database systems do by allowing indexable arbitrary length fields in a "table".
Failing that I'd have to abandon the dictionary based disk indexers and go full on ADO.NET provider, which is a ton of overhead in terms of labor.
I'm leaning toward the latter but holy cow, do i have my work cut out for me.
Unless any of you have other ideas?
When I was growin' up, I was the smartest kid I knew. Maybe that was just because I didn't know that many kids. All I know is now I feel the opposite.

didn't Chris tell you to back off?
If you had some sense you'd just block me and move on with your life.

I believe we should keep voting until the answer I want is achieved. (The Remainers option!)
(And then never allow the plebes to vote again!)
I, for one, like Roman Numerals.

The only Brexit that ever actually went anywhere was in the year 1999 and purely accidental. It cost us the moon[^].

after all the voting is done, counted, and the result known
... can I suggest we vote again.
many people who didn't expect the result obtained, and may want to change their mind.

(or was 2016 a good year for getting the best results )
