No, sorry
How did you arrive at that - there may be a clue there!

education = undergraduate
awardee = graduate as in grad student.
brings it to under
Eat? no anagram to ate.
Doesn't fit completely i.e. missing the other 'r'.
Not sure how Luke gets in there perhaps a hint for education as light?
|
|
|
|
|
Chewbacca? (as in a sidekick in the Star Wars universe, hinted at via "Luke" Skywalker)
Chew as in eat, and the rest something to do with bachelor degree perhaps, not sure.

Don't know, edited my semi explanation in my answer post...

Well done, that seems like a good shout, I've never heard the term before

Is the right answer - but solution, please?

I have edited in my best attempt at solution, feel free to fill in the gaps!

If you leave the awardee - or laureate - from baccalaureate, you are left with bacca.

I think that it's a really good clue for the most part, but again your definition part "Luke" is very misleading.
You should try to include a more synonymous definition that links more directly to Chewbacca...
So for example, if you wanted an easy clue:
Eat? no, education... lose the awardee, Wookiee (9)
Or a more difficult one:
Eat? no, education... lose the awardee, co-pilot (9)
EDIT: However, I am far from an expert, and ultimately I did get the correct answer, so...

How is "Luke" misleading? He is part of the Star Wars universe, right?

As per my understanding, a cryptic clue should contain a definition of the answer. Such as indicated here[^]:
Extract: Every cryptic clue includes a straight definition of the answer, just like in a ‘regular’ crossword. It’s astonishing, but true!
"Luke" doesn't really fit with that rule, it's just the name of a character that knows Chewbacca. Does that make sense?

Chewbacca is not Luke's sidekick, so one has to (potentially) consider every other character in Star Wars. Your definition part needs to point a bit more towards the answer. Look at some of the other clues and you should get the idea.

|
|
|
|
Yes, and, looking at your explanation, you did say "(hinted at via "Luke" SkyWalker)" so you did get the clue.
Not so misleading then

Well he is the most obvious Luke, however the reason I got the answer was purely because of the theme for "sidekicks". Chewbacca was the first sidekick I thought of in Star Wars, and it fit with "Eat".
|
|
|
|
|
That is the direct definition to the answer right there - the "sidekick" theme, but I get what you meant.

Perhaps you are correct. Maybe because we have the theme it's ok to bend the rules a bit.
I guess just do it however you want, if people don't like it then they are free to say so

I started it up and played around in kodi a bit. CPU temp got up to 47c (well below the temp at which it would start to freq throttle).
I had a big-ass AMD heat sink (120mm radiator that usually has a fan on it), so I just set it on top of the case, and the temperature went down to 43C in a few minutes.
Since I'm using librelec, I have to ssh into the box remotely to change things. Once I have I have it setup to find the server, I'll play a couple of movies and see how it does. I may even try overclocking it if movie playback isn't up to snuff.
So far, though, so good.
