you raise a good point. maybe the system should be considered "lawsuit critical"

Plus some typos and things get quite amusing. According to the instructions of a well known manufacturer of model kits, some decals on a 1967 Vietnam Huey should read 'use XXXX viation fuel" or "fuel dick drain". They will most probably not get dragged to court over that.

yeah, tough taking overseas companies to court.
I'm sure though (to sell overseas) they will still have to include lots of safety instructions too, such as: "baby not eating the small piece they can choking onto your hazard."
back in the days before internet my friends and I requested some part/computer catalogs from Asia (Taiwan was by far the best), laughed so damn hard it really did bring tears to your eyes.

Don't let the pointy hairs make you second guess your gut when it comes to safety. Always go with your gut. My $0.02

Too true, I have stood my ground and endured flak for it. Turns out the issue is one that could have lead to deaths in the past, I feel I have to a little more cowboy in checking!

So... Here goes nothing.
I'm looking for an animated (hand drawn?) music video with a weird 70's sci-fi theme.
I'm not sure if the video was from that time or if it's newer, but made to look old.
From what I remember it was somewhat dark and surrealistic (besides the sci-fi).
The video somewhat stuck with me, the artist and song name not so much.
I was at a sci-fi exposition not so long ago and I've been thinking about the video ever since.
I guess someone once posted it as a reply to the SOTW, but there are quite a few of those so it's somewhat hard to find.
Must've been two or three years ago I guess...
Of course I can't remember who posted it in the first place, that would've made things a lot easier...
Was it you, @David-ONeil (you're my first guess since you're into weird stuff (and that's a compliment ))?

Nope, that isn't it.
It was more animated and the music was more 70's too
Still not bad though.

Nope, already checked some lists, but none seem to have it (including this one).
Whoever posted it on CP made sure he had the most unknown and obscure music video he could find

Check your email records? If it was a reply, then you'd have got an email - and it should be fairly easy to search those for Lounge + SOTW + link posts.
Or The "Search this forum" box above?

I delete emails from the Lounge.
When I try to find old SOTWs using the search box I just end up on the first page of the Lounge...

Could have been any of the Daft Punk anime vids, but I believe you'd remember them due to popularity. Popularity probably also rules out A-Ha's Take On Me. From stuff I've tagged, maybe Helsing Ultimate, but I don't remember posting it. Maybe Monolith or Equinoxious? Those two are on the Are Sounds Electric video list, which has a bunch of eclectic stuff in it, for hours of going down rabbit holes if you wish. There was some vid about a boy and/or girl, going into/up a pyramid and becoming perfected or something like that, which I've forgotten and don't have a link to. A couple others dimly ring in my consciousness, but can't recall them well enough to even search. If all else fails, maybe something from this list will get your mind off of it. Good luck!

Here's an eclectic non-anime from Are Sounds Electric: Touch Me 400TM - YouTube. Ture Love!
('Ture' is my eclectic word for 'true' today.)

Of course I know Daft Punk, A-HA and the Prodigy, those weren't what I was looking for.
I didn't know Monolith and Equinoxious. They aren't what I was looking for either, but they sound good!
What's that blue fins-as-ears alien on the Are Sounds Electric page?
It looks strangely familiar... Although I don't think that's what I'm looking for either

Maybe this. YouTube gives a 'Mix - Lorn - Anvil' to the right of that vid, that might also start you towards finding the one you are looking for.

And now for a change of pace. Maybe that will help me get back to work! Sure wish I could find that weird pyramid vid, now that it's on my mind. Really trippy.
