Good find

The lines immediately after that are great too:
Quote: F***It returns a promise that will be resolved once your godforsaken code actually makes it to the finish line. You can use this callback to chain additional F***It calls, since we all know calling it once won't do enough damage to the Internet.

More like puerile jam.

I don't want to pick 'knits'- but I didn't! I just pointed out that that 'whooooosh!' sound might have been the point going over his head! (But the fact that he missed it left me in 'stitches')

Sunday morning me and my pal went out for a blast around Paphos hillsides on our quads.....it helped to clear the cobwebs after having spent all afternoon and night at another pals 40th birthday BBQ the day before.
It was an epic few hours that featured many many high points on the hills and valleys, and I really enjoyed being drenched in the river splash.....fortunately it was caught on camera you an see it here:
2019 Kymco MXU550i - Quick dash and splash in the river! - YouTube
However, the low point was when we were heading up a track and nipping on, but nothing too extreme, and went up over a bump on the track and to spot that the other side had been dug out by a digger, and the quad and me end up on our sides in the hole. I think instinct to avoid when I saw the hole kicked in, as I cannot remember turning, and its the only reason I can see for it to land on its side and not having ploughed straight into the opposite side of the hole face.
I don't know how, but I never had a single mark on me. My pal couldn't believe it either, he said I went up over the bump and then just vanished as he watched the quad topple over.
I remember the split second thoughts that went through my mind from "OH F>>>" to "This is going to hurt" to "I hope I don't land on thorns or a cactus". Once the bike had come to rest on its side, I remember pulling myself out and just think I hope there is no snakes as I was lying on dried out vegetation.
I then notices the fuel running out of the tank cap and then just had image of it catching fire! The way it was lying in the hole I did think at one point we were going to have to leave it and go and get a digger or crane to recover it!
We then took at least 30 minutes trying to get the bike out, even with the 4wd and diff lock engaged, it just dug down and bottomed, the angles were all wrong for the winches and there was nothing to secure to. We just kept having to bounce it onto different spots and try different angles, but there was really very little room to move and front was against the square edge face of the hole and the rear was a really steep slope. Brute force and adrenaline worked though and we got it out. Then took a few minutes to cool down, drink water, reflect and get the buzz to calm down. Checked over the bike there was a several scratches in front and left side, but no real body damage and didn't see any buckled steering arms or suspension parts. Of we went, then it didn't feel right, it wasn't steering properly, pulling funny etc. Then my pal mentioned the 4WD and diff lock and sure enough it was still on. It didn't even cross my mind to check it after everything that had just happened!
One tyre needs to be taken off and re-seated as there is vegetation and a stone wedged in between the tyre wall and the wheel rim, but other than that...its a miracle!
I went onto google maps today to have a look at where it happened, and it looks like the track is an old back entrance up onto a shooting range, so maybe that why the hole had been dug to close the track, but think it would have been easier and safer to the close the opening in the fence across the track as it was fenced at both sides!
Oh well, just put it down to a learning opportunity on quad recovery! And hope it is along time before something like that happens again or preferably not at all! As for the water I am definitely doing that again

Lucky you, I had a co-worker who lost an arm when his quad fell over.
He did hardware too, but continued working at the company in the same function, so that's pretty cool.

I went snow mobile driving in Norway and ran off the track and parked the machine on a rock on a hill with the tail pointed down into 10ft of packed snow. It took 3 hours in a blizzard to get it out, thankfully we had the right clothing on if not the correct gear to drag it out.

And it isn't me, in case you are wondering: New face of the Bank of England's £50 note is revealed as Alan Turing - BBC News[^]
I can't think of a more appropriate person: the work he pioneered lead directly to the shape of the world today. Pity the establishment treated him so terribly badly at the time.
