Might be, but it was canceled because no one saw it coming. It had poor ratings, even though people were dying to see it.

I presented the demo video of the project template I've been working on (at home) since February, and the team lead is highly enthusiastic about starting to use it (starting today, as a matter of fact). I was peppered with questions that I had all the answers for, and everyone appears to be on-board. We can develop the new code/database alongside the old code/database without crossing streams.
I'm pretty pleased with the results and the positive reception of the new ideas and methods.

All this positivity...??? Have you been hacked? Who took over your account? Better check your passwords, etc.

It's not me being positive, it's the rest of the team. I'm simply happy about it because their enthusiasm shows that the last six months hasn't been time wasted.

Yeah, it's a too rare of a thing.

But you do know that, 25 years from now, someone will look at it and say "What was that bluddy idiot thinking!"

I'll probably be dead by then, and won't care.

no need to wait 25 years ..just wait till the release two ..once they fix all the bugs...and add new features !

If it takes 25 months for that to happen, JSOP will be well ahead of the game. 25 days is more likely.

Well, an article about the project template itself wouldn't be appropriate because much of the MVC code is specific to our requirements (although some stuff I do is simply techniques you can use in your typical MVC app). However, there are parts of the code that would make decent articles (on-the-fly creation of connection strings, and the ADO DAL/inheriting BLL and entity code we use - we don't use EF for our general database access).

This AM's connection hit it right on the nose - but the nice part was the getting to 99,999 was by accepting a Q&A answer instead of Lounge or Soapbox. I doubt, however, it's an omen for anything.
