Only confirms that what people really want is a "tablet" (size).
And since everyone knows that an IOS or Android "phone" (or IPad) cannot compete with a Windows 10 "machine", the MS Surface is the device to watch (and target) IMO.
With most Surface (probably) kept in S Mode, that means Windows Store.
Most of the offerings in the store are rewrites (and dull looking); something "new" could make a $plash.

Yeah, this is not marketed towards me since I don't really like phones. I've got a gen 1 Moto E which cost me $59 (saw later on sale for $29). It makes phone calls just fine and runs the couple Apps I use with no problems.

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you

I may be in the minority here, but I just wanted to share that it's awesome working with bright devs and managers who instinctively "get it". I love the culture of my (not so) little company, where the CTO and every dev manager started out in the trenches, writing code for decades before moving up the food chain.

Thanks.
I hope you're aware, however, that the reasons for your being happy depresses most of us even more than usual.

Marc Clifton wrote: You must work for yourself Actually, no. But I've been blessed with a wonderful work environment ever since I started working exclusively at early-stage companies since 2000. Aside from having the privilege of working with folk smarter (a lot smarter) than myself, it's been a rewarding experience to see how an idea is taken from germination to fruition as a software product.

I would then, stay there at all costs.
As a technical person, never ever work for normals. They never, ever get it. and will enslave you to do their bidding no matter the impossibility.

Possibly.
When asked about the work I now have to do on various 'legacy' products, I explain it like this:

So...you had 5 raving lunatics as part of the original group of 17 but just didn't realize it yet. Did I get this right?

No. The five of us who are left are now responsible for all the work done by the original 17. We're maintaining products that have been passed from their original developer through three or four people on their way to landing in our laps. This, along with the various cloning attempts and one bizarre episode involving the Canon copier in the office, has rendered all of us unsane.
