This post will definitely make the list!

Binary or decimal?

If it were binary, it would be 2, and there are no "Top 2" lists that I know of.

This year here in Norway, we have had a maelstrom of something related: "Five ways you probably ruin your turkey when baking it", "These are the rule of etiquette that you probably are breaking", "The most common mistakes in Christmas cookie baking", "You have always lit your open fireplace in the wrong way", "Your way of cleaning the kitchen spreads bacteria"...
You are doing wrong absolutely everything that has to do with Christmas! The way you have been doing Christmas earlier, it really is a big surprise that anyone has enjoyed as much as a minute of it!
Actually, we have had all these "You have always been doing this in the wrong way" articles coming in a steady flow throughout the year (and most of last year). For this Christmas, we have seen reruns of a huge number of them, plus a large new crop of "You are doing it the wrong way!"
I am so sick of being told that I am doing absolutely everything the wrong way that I am mentally blocking it, refusing to read it as something like "pedagogical" or "friendly advice". Not the least because "the right way" much too often ends up with some product that I have to buy, that I never bought before, to do it "the right way".

[^]Quote: According to two new studies conducted by researchers with the University of Chicago and Northwestern University, giving to others rather than to ourselves makes us happier. Okay, just PM me for my PayPal and bank-wire details (unless you are in Nigeria), and please make it a minimum of US $100.
If I give to myself, it never gives me that "ooh shiny" moment
I can still remember the good feeling that came with every act of kindness and generosity I ever did, and, now, as I plan my revenge on those rotten busterds who took, and took, and never gave anything back, it's even more delicious.
May all your reindeer noises be bright !

Why do you discriminate against Nigerian scammers? Aren't they entitled to cheat you as much as any other scammer?

Thank you kind sir, a few good people like you make this world a better place. Also, there's this massive sum you've inherited that is in an escrow account controlled by me.
PS: Please transfer (western union only, as internet transfer doesn't work here due to slow internet) just US$6,000 into the account I've emailed you as escrow fund processing fee, and I will get your money into your account.

This is wonderful news, Sri Rajesh ! I am staggered when I think of the great blessings you will accrue through your generosity to me.
Please purchase round-trip ticket Mumbai~Chiang Mai in my name, and advise my departure date, and where to meet you on arrival.

You're right, Daniel, any prejudice is toxic to the spiritual aspect of this !
And, even if I am scammed, is it not even more a holier gift when sacrifice, and loss, is involved ?
As Nisaragadatta said: “Wisdom tells me I am nothing; love tells me I am everything: between the two, my life flows.”

That's understandable, given that I struggle to read it from time to time as well.

Namaste, Rajesh-ji,
I sometimes wonder if a certain level of opacity in reading one's own mind is a requirement for sanity: at other times, I'm kind of sure of that
I am more sure that believing one can read another person's mind is very dangerous, often leading to great disasters, like "relationships"
cheers, Bill
