Most unfortunate.
FWIW, I was think of the visiting psychologists. "Bruce, Bruce, Bruce, Bruce, Bruce, and myself, Bruce." It's a very old Monty Python thing.

I was speaking of the stereotypical Australian Bruce and his Missus Sheila.

I had completely forgotten that. I think I have the TV show, Flying Circus (?) at home somewhere, will have to pull it out and have a watch again.

We had a guy a while back who named all of his programs after his old girlfriends. I remember spending a lot of time fixing “Ellen” - the software.

The optics are really good; however, the realism is really dependent on the graphics and audio of the game. There is a price for that though. In order to push high quality graphics to the Oculus, you need a high powered gaming rig. Also, it does take some getting used to. High quality graphics and stereo audio, a good horror game or space sim is worth the price you pay for the equipment.

I have an i7 with a GTEX mega force or some such, thats what the label says on the cover anyway. Which I think is the recommended spec for these goggles. Dont do games at all, but the nipper is interested in 3D, and it could be a laugh.

Sounds like a good machine. I would check the graphics card to make sure you have more than 3 gig of video ram and a minimum of 8 gig of ram on the motherboard. If so, then the experience should be awesome. If your not into games, check out the movies rendered for the Oculus. They are amazing.

Yeah, it has that, and SSD too, it is about a year or so old, but hardware hasnt moved on much recently, so it is still a decent machine.
Didnt think of movies, I'll take a look at some. Thanks!

The exact video is important. If it's not a GTX 1070 or better, you might run into problems.
I have a GTX 1070ti, and I still have to turn down the detail level in X-Plane to get decent performance in VR. Though X-Plane is pretty demanding whether you're using it in VR or not. Other games are less demanding. And the VR version of Google Earth is fun, too.
