No strange thing here in the valley. Back in the 80s, two stores selling business products, Computerland sued Businessland for having land in their name. The judge threw the case out and asked the plaintiff if they were going to sue Disneyland next.

Works really well, with a caveat.
It's small, quick, and produces lovely output on "regular" paper - it's also quieter and doesn't attract the cat who always wanted to go "fishing" down the paper slot when the inkjet was printing. He's not interested in this one, not even slightly.
It even does really nice photo prints, now the photo paper has arrived (you can't use inkjet paper at all, it gums up the machine if you try, so I donated my stock of paper, card, and labels to next door).
Only hassle is heavy weight photo paper doesn't feed well - the spec and the driver both say "up to 220gsm" and I'm using 200 - look like I have to offset the image by one cm from the leading edge in order to get it all on the print rather than starting on the roller and transferring onto the rear... And the card does "curl" somewhat, which is annoying, but fixable.
But that said, my old inkjet had problems feeding photocard as well, and often needed a helping hand to get going! As a replacement for an inkjet, this shows signs of being well useful.

My inkjet (Canon MG4250) does all of that with no hassle (no cats in this house). It can be a trifle noisy sometimes, but I can live with that.

My inkjet (Epson) was forever drying out and not working when I needed it. I figure that at least half the ink I bought went straight through it trying to clean the heads and get all channels working ... and most of the rest went in the bin when the printer decided the cartridge was too old / not from Epson.

I had the same problem with my Epson. The Canon seems a little more forgiving - up to now.

What cartridges are you using - I remember Canon replacement cartridges being about the same cost as the original printer ... and the aftermarket ones weren't far behind either.
Same reason I don't buy HP inkjets (that and the highly curved print path, which causes problems with thicker papers and some labels).

I used 3rd party cartridges from printerinks.com on the Epson. I did find that after about 6 replacements the printer needed a proper Epson cartridge to clean itself properly. I have only used Canon cartridges on the new printer up to now but will probably try a cheaper one on next replacement.

Goldfrapp - Happiness[^]
This week's SOTW was a very difficult choice.
Inspired by last week's Orbital I've put together a playlist with a lot of my old favorites and to be honest, all them are contenders for this week's SOTW
There can be only one though, so I picked this one, I guess because it makes me happy.
I had never seen the video for this song up till now. I get tired just by looking at the guy

Good choice, the video clips of Goldfrapp are often works of art

I'm not sure what this has to do with anything, but cool story bro
Back then I'd give her a ride too, she was smoking hot, except that I still had to be born and all.
I still enjoy her music from time to time

About bringing people in good mood ... YT gave me recently these amazing bagpipe guys (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amJ_WLmOKS0). One of the track comments was "... you can't make people headbang with a bagpipe...", but it works, at least for me ,

I may have seen them live this last summer...
I know a friend saw them live at Keltfest and they'd be at Castlefest and she said we totally had to check them out, but I can't remember if they actually played on the day we went.
Probably not because I think I would've remembered, but maybe I just don't remember remembering
Cool stuff though!

Yes, have been for some time. Love the documentation and how everything is a widget and customizable. The only issue I am facing is that I have a Windows system and cannot work on the testing of an iOS application. So, if you are working on a Mac, it's best for you.
