Um, Microsoft don't make games?

Quote: just release now, we'll actually make it game OS later and people can just keep downloading massive updates that might or might not work Windows 10?
P.S. Sorry... I forgot the irony/joke icon in the first answer.

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

True.
Nowadays, they only make jokes.

World of Warcraft is going the way of the dodo bird, I think. I have been an avid player since 2012, but every expansion seems to get farther away from what it should be.

I'm still at level 100; haven't played for a year or two. I already disliked the simplification of the talent-tree (because too complicated for casual users), only to get an expansion that shows a lot of nonsense-talents in the weapon.
Seen a new version of WarCraft 3 in the launcher. Let's see how they try to kill that one
..and I'm going to guess you're.. a tauren.. warrior?

So your "Serial Killer" game won't be released this year I guess

What is wrong with Fallout?

Just google Fallout 76...
Soon after, if you were ever thinking to buy it, you will probably change your mind.
Issues ranges from: gameplay, content, bugSSS (horrendous frame rate, obvious clipping issues, outdated graphics, zero damage bug, stupid AI - monster standing still)

It's a fun game, I've been playing a lot of it since it was released.
It is not as bad as the internet makes it
There are some bugs and game mechanics issues, but, at least for me, has been working fine.

Ahh, thank goodness. It(Xbox version) is on my Christmas list.

My daughter spent 5 hours downloading Fallout 76 on a slow Wifi at college on the first day. Then they dropped the price a few days later.

Does the price change the download speed ? confused.

I don't have problems with Fallout 76.
Been playing it since release, with only one or 2 crashes and maybe 3 server disconnect.
Me think a lot of people are too serious in regards to games and gaming.

If X4 is as bad as X Rebirth, I will fully agree with you. I have hope for it but I am not pre-ordering this time around due to getting burned by X Rebirth and its inability to live up to its own hype.
On all other accounts, every other game released this year (that I bought) was disappointing in many ways. I'm a PC gamer so I couldn't talk about console games.

I'm a PC gamer as well. My primary game is EVE Online. Been playing that for 10 years (187 million sp). I've been watching the trailers for X4 and I agree. Please let it be good!
When you are dead, you won't even know that you are dead. It's a pain only felt by others.
Same thing when you are stupid.

2018 was a good year for gaming (for me). It's the year I started my tabletop game collection (as well as Tabletop Simulator). There is a board game for everyone, from dungeon crawlers to games where you feed a panda. Watch a couple of Shut Up and Sit Down videos on YouTube. Plus tabletop games have something that PC games lost a long time - a nice large cellophane wrapped box!

Yup loot boxes are actually coming under fire again. Guess there was a proposal to audit loot boxes and sales tactics concerning said items conducted at the Federal level by the Trade Commission.
Check this search out:

Fallout 76 personifies everything everyone has flamed Bethesda about over the last decade; fan boi cash grabbing even after Bethesda gamers warned them about that tendency has now come back to bite them and deeply. Gamers are not stupid and the Fallout franchise is not bullet proof.
Diablo Immoral (not a typo lol) was misunderstood due to poor marketing execution. I suspected that the mobile game was a precursor to an impending, highly secret Diablo 4 release; leaks + hype concerning D4 would further solidify my argument and would also appear that the normal development practices of flagship IP done in a black-box is still in wide use. I perceive that general opinion concerning Diablo IP was skewed significantly with their acquisition by Activision and Diablo players are expecting the worse case scenario for all Blizzard IP franchises. Basically, Diablo Immortal got the jump scare execution, but I think that once D4 hits release the mobile platform will gain considerable momentum, especially if the two are tied into one-another somehow.
I was unaware of that...

I've been playing Elite: Dangerous for years now and ignoring everything else, it's been great.
Yeah, the gameplay consists of long stretches of boredom punctuated by moments of terror, but you get to be bored in SPACE!!! (seriously, it's the best thing going in VR, not that that's saying a lot at this point).

2018 was the darkest year so far, but the same was true for 2017 and 2016. First, selling games piecewise als DLC instead of a complete game and one or two complete addons. Then "micro"-transactions (seriously, 17 bucks isn't "micro" by any standard). The loot boxes and general P2W elements may be the the worst the gaming industry has on offer yet, but the emphasis is on "yet". Wait what 2019 will bring.
