It would - but not until someone gets the right answer! Only just over an hour to go ...

I thought of steering but to take the wheel would be steer - I bet it's blindingly obvious when we see it

Can you give your thought process on this ?
For me the solution was little iffy.

"Take the wheel"
"Unicycle" is both a verb - the act of riding a unicycle - and a noun - for the object being taken for a ride.
So if you "take a single wheel" you are out for a unicycle, on a unicycle!
Admittedly, you probably have to be a hipster to be seen dead on one, but ...

Ok So I was also correct in the assumption of "the wheel".

Was there a thought process?
Tricycle fits the clue too does it not? As in Quad with one less wheel.

A tricycle has three wheels, not "the wheel".

Oh I see, so it has to both have one wheel removed and have one wheel left, in that case unicycle is the only "cycle" that fits.
Every time I try and guess one of these I end up more confused, why do I bother.

I don't know why, maybe too much sugar, but I actually laughed out loud at your comment.
I think maybe it's the concept of there being this one main celebrity type wheel in the world, and it just turns up at events when people need to do a unicycle show.

What's not to get, think of a random word and a random clue and post it with the subject "WSO CCC OTD".

Apparently sent from Tralfamador at an unknown date ... no post-mark ... the front of the card shows a fuzzy (pixelated ?) photograph of some kind of massive stone monument rising out of a desert plain, its shape suggestive of the question-mark glyph in the Roman alphabet used by many inhabitants of Earth ...
On the back, in a spidery Roman script ...
The future is unclear (thank the godz); the past is up for grabs, and continually re-edited (alas); the present is fragile, chaotic, overwhelmingly overburdened with infinite potential and relentless entropy (hallelujah).
To be sure you are a fool who fools himself, and others, is to be wise, and the reverse is equally true and false..
Greed is a certainty, creativity is probable.
Knowing the future is in the hands of brilliant, curious, minds like Raddevus who have the fire in the belly to question, to challenge, to innovate: is a comfort to an old man who takes refuge in the labyrinth of libraries on the Platonic planet's smooth orbit around the fringes of the bell-curve, far from the madding crowd jostling near the mean.

Well, he's certainly raising the literary bar with references to Hardy and Vonnegut. Beyond that, I'm still deciphering.
Is Cryptic Postcard OTD a WSO event, I wonder?

Just saw this and I'm not sure I understand it.
But, I've been mentioned in the CP Forum so it has to be good, right?
Right?

Be assured: it is a goodness !
