And is that My Neighbor Tortoro? I've always wanted to see that!

Yup! It's a film that makes you think, but good!

I've never seen My Neighbor Tortoro, but I absolutely loved Princess Mononoke (as I've said before)! And all the other Ghiblis I've seen! Amazing creativity! I tried to find the scene in Mononoke where Yakul, his deer/antelope gets out of the water and shakes itself off - one of my all time fave scenes for the animation quality and beauty! Hopefully you can see it someday.

Tortoro and Mononoke are both on my to-watch list, it's just that I can't easily buy it over here.
I found some imports at €20+ and I'm not sure if I can even play it on my European (PAL) system.
I've seen Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away though, both masterpieces!

Cool. He did a great job with such iconic characters (Oscar the Grouch too). Though, I have to admit I never knew his name.

To be honest, I did not know his name either, until now. But spending 49 years as an iconic character like that, is amazing to me.

I'm old enough that I was watching Sesame Street with my Mum from the beginning. Truth be told, I probably had no idea of what it was till late 1970 at the earliest.
Oscar was always my favourite character.
