They just don't realize how bad things were before vaccinations. Darwin Awards, anyone? The health of the group should be of more concern than the individual freedom to choose.

Eddy Vluggen wrote: Yes, but one rotten apple doesn't mean the entire industry is like that. Well, we're sort of in agreement on this. I don't give the industry a break - but the vaccine concept, yes. The expression is often "Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater.".
Eddy Vluggen wrote: The health of the group should be of more concern than the individual freedom to choose. Logically, I agree. The problem, as always, is implementation. Near-first-person anecdote:
Mrs. Wife teaches. One of the districts mandates flu shot or where face mask. This was true for several years. They did supply the flu shot, at least. This year, she told me she got her flu shot - and also the mandatory requirement is gone. Public schools in the USA, depending upon your state, require any number of the basic immunization (the serious diseases, mentioned early, and usually measles, chickenpox (rubella), and some others). This has proven an incredible health benefit. The herd has few carriers. The flu, because of the forced "crowds" of a school, makes sense . . . except it was only the teachers!
So - the health of the group concept is good for the serious killing/crippling pathogens. For the lesser evils, such as the flu, it should be a matter of choice. The only others at risk, after all, are others without the vaccination. An argument can be made for "so what's the difference", and I will preemptively answer it's a personnel gut feeling about risk/reward

Many, many years ago, when I was doing my first internship in a big company, we got a new manager who in the first meeting told us that "in the next couple of years CASE (Computer-aided software engineering) tools will make software developers redundant and that we should focus in other aspect of IT if we wanted to stay in the field. users will be able to model their requirements and the tools will write the software for then.". Even though I was 20, I was smart enough to understand how stupid this guy was, that CASE tools were a fad and started searching for a new job that same day. Within 2 months I was out of there. 24 years later, me and several millions around the world still have a decent paying job developing software.
Thinking that, in the near future, AI "something" will be able to replace humans in such a complex stuff as developing software fall withing the same realm of stupidity IMHO.

Right, so AI will replace software engineers and developers!?!?
And exactly who is going to tell this brilliant AI what to develop? Brilliant technical management who can't even figure out how do to a time estimate properly?
Oh I forgot... The AI will have results immediately so no need to tell it anything...

"Development"?
Collecting "user requirements"? ("Uh ... let me see ... yeah ... this is what I want ...").
Translating said user requirements into a system that doesn't kill?

Hi guys, thanks for tuning in to another video on Forgotten Weapons...
I love his channel, I like his style and I also like InRangeTV a lot - enough to become patron of both on Patreon.

I'm more of how & why it works type, more than a gun nut, so I never really got into InRangeTV. I was under the impression I was the only viewer...

I usually skip the 2gun matches on InRange, mostly I watch their tests (wandering zero, barrel heating, mud tests) and their discussions.
I'm a gun nut but I prefer actually shooting rather than watching someone else do it unless it is an historical piece or I'm trying to figure out something about some gun I wish to buy (i.e if Hickok45 has difficulties controlling a particular weapon then it's probably better for me to avoid it).

I am always astounded at not only his control, but speed as well.
Common sense is admitting there is cause and effect and that you can exert some control over what you understand.

And he's not the best shooter out there! Karl of InRange is a war machine, especially with rifles.
He's still miles ahead of what I can hope to become

It would be nice if youtube could show a message "we are down" instead of an error message. I thought it was a problem with my device or internet connection and tried to trouble shoot on all my devices before finding it out from internet.

I think Maps is the only thing I actually DO want installed Maybe Google will be bros and just stop bundling worldwide otherwise I'll still be stuck with all those "Play XXXXX" apps and the Newsstand

Nah there definately bundled. Well at least on the Sony & Acer devices I have here in the UK.
All I ever use is Maps, Chrome and GMail.
The rest are in rom though, so I can uninstall the updates, but not the actual app.
Not a big deal on my phone, but the tablet only has a few G of memory, and I'm lucky if I have a couple of hundred meg for my apps.

And Google Play to download new apps, suck as FB and WhatsApp.
Oh, and Skype came bundled, which I've been using for work lately.
Otherwise I've disabled as much from the bundled apps as I can.
