If it is a genuine contact you will white-list it anyway. If it is a spammer, how exactly the money will be collected? And if the spammer payed does it become legal?
In Israel it is against the law to send you any commercial content without prior approval from you - it stops nothing!!!

On Monday morning, while reading this[^] discussion I snapped, and responded to a code sample in the discussion in a manner that was blatantly mean and uncalled for, and for that, I apologize to the community as a whole and member georani[^] in particular.
I greatly enjoy CodeProject, and my post did not uphold the standards of this community.
Again, my apologies.
Sincerely,
-Mark

That guy was waving a red cape and was just waiting for a bull to come charging. I really don't know what kind of complexes these VB guys struggle with. 'SEE: We are NO NOOBS and VB is NOT USELESS! 3 billion other noobs say so!'
Just keep laughing.

Yes, and for a minute there I lived up to an old nickname of mine "the bull"!

Only when reading to my kids!
I was caught by an episode of explosive laughter, while eating... Now my cube mates know I'm nuts.

Long back there was a guy called "Osmo" who wrote his own language & compiler (Plain English compiler) and wanted everyone to follow him.
This is sounding similar.
I guess Georani could be the son of.. creator of this historic tragedy called VB.

A long time ago I worked in interpreted BASIC, then QuickBasic, then a variant of BASIC called Metropolis (used in Alpha-Micro minis), FoxPro and a few other languages, and then I discovered C# and never looked back.
I've always looked at programming language discussions wars like this:
If you enjoy programming in language XYZ, have at it! If you can make a living working in it, even better!
Just please don't try to ram your preferred language down my throat.
Sorta like the old tabs vs spaces battle...

TABS, TABS, TABS, TABS....
Oh, sorry. Got carried away for a moment there.

You are not supposed to mention that name. It some how summons the dark forces!
While those old flame wars could be amusing, they did get long in the tooth.
