If you make a good point would that be a vertext?

I had to re-read that about 4 times before I decided how that should be pronounced.

Currently "Should I stay or should I go?" by The Clash.
Coming up in the random shuffle: "Balls to the Wall" (Accept), "I can see for miles" (The Who), "By your side" (Hannah Grace), "Paint it black" (Ciara version), ...
Some of it is conducive to coding, but some of it ... isn't.

For the last year I am listening to the large and loud construction site right outside the office. This while trying to decipher the totally weird and convoluted inter-process frameworky error messages in this Python application. If you think that's negative, wait till I get to the negative bits!

After a week at the MUTEK Montréal, Festival 2018 | MUTEK listening to all sort of electronic music, I'm unwinding with some Trance music !!.
If you're into deep ambient, have a listen to some of Lawrence English's releases.
I'd rather be phishing!

lately I've been listening to country music.
I'm no fan of country music and normally won't listen to it, except when working (concentrating) ... in the background it doesn't annoy, distract or make me turn up/down songs I like/don't like, it's just there to kill the silence, and it's proper music by artists with talent & ability.
In terms of music I listen to when I just want music then it's 70's - 90's rock.
long winded draggy tunes annoy me and rapping always give me the sh*ts (can't stand crap that takes forever to go anywhere and/or requires little talent.)
This internet thing is amazing! Letting people use it: worst idea ever!

Does nagging by my wife count?
If you can keep your head while those about you are losing theirs, perhaps you don't understand the situation.

Only if she can nag melodically.
And if she can, would you care to swap as mine can't?

Generally on random play when working which makes for some nice diversity.
My current Walkman selection has albums by Iggy Pop, Air, Astor Piazzolla, Alison Krauss, Beach Boys, Boards of Canada, Chopin, Miles Davis, Lee Scratch Perry, The Adverts, Rodriguez, Hawkwind, Manic Street Preachers, The Clash, Nick Drake, Bob Dylan, Dexter Gordon, The Durutti Column, Brian Eno, Roots Manuva, Menasseh, Messaien and LFO.
Sometimes auto-shuffles get things so right you think that they're sentient - other times they get things so wrong that they must be trying to upset you (which also implies a level of sentience, come to think of it). Uh oh! Technofear!
