Going there for a couple of days next week, on the way to Croatia.
I believe Piran is on the todo list.
Any recommendations that I shouldn't miss?

Haven't been that far down, but I can recommend the Skocjan caves[^] (biggest cave I've ever been in) and Predjama castle[^].
That's the closest I've been to Piran

Why would someone build a house in that location?

I like backups!
Came back from lunch today to find I couldn't access the network shares on the NAS - the authorisation was wrong, and it wouldn't accept the passwords. "Odd," I thought. "It's never done that before."
Even odder, it worked by the WookieTab.
So I rebooted the desktop - and it comes back with a Win 10 screen I've not seen before: "Diagnosing your PC",followed by "Repairing your PC", "Rebooting your PC", and repeating the cycle a few times before deciding it couldn't fix it.
Damnit. Something stupid has happened.
OK, reboot to PE from USB, and "Hello AOMEI" - "Restore"
Currently on 63%, and hopefully all will be well shortly - I'd forgotten how different the WookieTab keyboard is!
Only hassle is that today was backup day, so I'll lose a few links and stuff, but nothing that actually matters, hopefully. I'm just glad this happened before I backed up, not after; that would have been wasted most likely.
66% now. Ho hum.

And no update yet after two and a half hours, that is a bad sign.

There was an update - a W10 update just after restore finished... to destroy anything again...

The restore went fine, but the reboot after didn't - same error.
So I took the cover off and jiggled the wires, then turned it back on.
And it powers up ok!
It's possible that the unusual heat is causing problems, but all the fans are running and quiet - I'll have a closer look tomorrow in case it's a cable or connector that's corroded or something.
I'll leave it off overnight so it's as cool as I can get it.

Also check if the heat sink needs vacuuming, or if the thermal paste has dried out.

27-29 C maybe much for you, but in my experience computers has no problem to work even at higher temp...

Not sure it's the heat per se, but it's possible that the higher ambient temp is interfering with the cooling. More likely it's a connection that's been affected by a combination of heat and humidity, or the SSD overheating - that isn't directly cooled, just via conduction to it's mountings.
Dunno - I'm speculating about things to look at tomorrow.

Stop using SMB1. Stop using SMB1. STOP USING SMB1![^]
Listen to Ned and make sure that your NAS is not using SMBv1[^]
Build 1709 of Windows 10 removed SMBv1 and disabled insecure guest logons for SMB2. To re-enable, run gpedit.msc and adjust the "Computer configuration\administrative templates\network\Lanman Workstation" and change "enable insecure guest logons" setting.
