After 5 years, I decided to upgrade the TV in my living room. The question I wanted to ask is if the following features exist on TV.
The Feature is like opposite of Mute. I would like to hear the audio but not the Picture. In other words I want the audio to be heard with the TV monitor screen off/blank!!
cheers,

I agree that would be handy - but I've not seen a TV with it. And to be honest, modern TV's sound quality is ... um ... poor, probably due to ultra thin cases / speakers so you need a soundbar to hear it much at all. And my sound bar supports BlueTooth input from my phone / tablet directly, so I don;t need the TV on anyway.

Yeah I get that. Just trying to have that nifty feature as many times I felt wish I can hear the TV news etc without having the temptation to look into the screen

Use a sheet of cardboard and put it in front of the screen.
Or turn the TV round so the screen faces the wall.
Or turn the brightness down to 0%.
Or close your eyes.

Or close your eyes. Still power wastage. He's expecting something like Turned off monitor(Ex: with still music playing)

With LED back lights, as most TVs have today, there is very little power wasted.

Just ask CP's beloved mankini picture. Paste it on the TV screen.

Yup My LG smart TV does this beautifully. I love these extra features that I usually find with LG home-products.
Its got 4 levels - Dim, Dimmer, Dimmest, Screen-Off! , under energy saving options

Most TVs have both these features.
To get rid of the sound press the [Mute] button once.
To get rid of the picture press the [Brightness-] button one hundred times.

Are you using your TV's actual tuner, or a satellite or cable box? If the latter, then send those to an external receiver with proper speakers, then the receiver to the TV, and just leave the TV off when you just want to listen to the audio. Use the satellite/cable box's remote to change channels.
(do people really listen to the sound coming from their tiny TV speakers? Manufacturers don't use good ones because people are expected to hook it all up to a better sound system anyway)

Anyone else mailbox getting clogged with last minute privacy policy messages?

yep..some sh*t about change in EU privacy policy.

Yep: and it's not surprising how many have left it to the last minute, given it's law today I think...

I find it even more surprising that relatively large websites like the Chigago Times and the Los Angeles Times didn't make the last minute, and instead just disabled their whole website for visitors from the EU. They've had since April 2016 to prepare.

WHOIS left it even later and their last minute attempt won't be accepted (it has lots of holes).

Yes! Almost every site I have account on is doing that. They are all telling me it is simpler to understand now. And as a very good consumer, I am not even looking at it.
Brings to mind, where is CP's we have updated terms email?
