So true. I recall a few years ago the Turner prize went to someone who placed two small pieces of wood at right angles.

That money includes binoculars to each and every citizen - too see the birds on the first place...
My kids also 'put' some birds on my roof - it cost me a handful of breadcrumb each day... probably of few hundred dollars until the end of my days...

There are two types of artist.
People like Jack Vetriano who are loved by absolutely everyone who isn't an art critic and people like Emin who are only loved by art critics.
I'm very much on the side of everyone who isn't an art critic.

Having visited the Museum of Fine art in Brussels, I can say that, in my opinion, Salvador Dali painted much better knockers than Ruebens ever did!

which has cost City of Sydney taxpayers $912,000 is meant to represent how close people are to each other, whether laying in bed together or at opposite ends of the world.
And to think, that could have bought 9,120 people some "closeness" in other ways. Approximately. I really have no idea what the going rate is in Australia. Or anywhere else for that matter. Just to set the record straight. I'll leave now.

At some point in the early 20th century western art went from:
"I wish I could make/paint/sculpt that!"
to
"My 4 year old could make that!"
And we are so much culturally better off now.
I'm pretty sure I would not like to live in a world in which I would never be offended.

I was going to write, "with that gun in your hand" but that is the second line. "That gun of yours" is the first line.
